There is no blindspot for LDIRCM in WT. And it shouldn’t really counter the IRIS-T SLM to begin with. Same for several other missiles.

but every once in a while the other LDIRCM helis will also be killed by IR missiles, so thats not unique to MI28NM
also on your earlier diagram only had half the forward blind spot modeled because it extends twice the angel between that line and the forward axis

One person doesn’t have the Mi-28 and the other mains Russia without owning the SLM, and speaks as if though he knows what he’s talking about IRIS-T performance against it. The level of delusion and entitlement these people have is borderline insane. They don’t want their toys taken away, don’t they?

I want to give people toys. LMUR is fun but being able to fully reload (any F&F) in 13 seconds or less is borderline insane.
The reload time needs to be addressed.
My additional thought to this is top tier adding a stationary C-RAM which has HE-I self detonating rounds to each spawn to stop incoming missiles. Allow mortars to hit spawns so they can saturate the C-RAM to take it out. Rockets would take it out too. You’d know where it is so you could just CCIP bomb it.

Downside: AA slightly harder to take out without skill or teamwork like the SEAD mission the game recently had… so sort of fixes CAS spam too??
Well for the new spaa is very easy to counter the lmur s, i get the job done with the 8 missiles in the spyder and the ammo box.
But my complain is about mi28nm invulnerability against p5, aim9x and irist. (Not sure if they already fix the ldicrm, not playing 12.3 lately)
I do “okay” with the Aim9x on the CLAWs. Launching two at a time seems to have fair ~50% hit rate with the salvo. Getting a radar lock to begin with is a hassle due to the outdated gen1 Sentinel array. The system is extremely limited due to the 4 total AIM-9X between two vehicles. If you could load 12 it wouldn’t be so bad.
Watching my replays the AIM-9x gets worse when they are coming in while the heli is launching missiles. I can’t prove it but I think the LMUR essentially acts as a flare. This is compounded by the fact the only time the heli is visible to radar is while it is launching.
The CLAWS is limited by it’s capability to detect in the first place compared to other top tier AA which have tracking radars like the pantsir or AESA.
Technically the CLAWS (marines) shouldn’t even have AIM-9Xs that is the SLAMRAAM (army) which was under a different program.
I’m fine with LDIRCCM and LMUR being in the game.
However, LDRICCM is Gaijin’s desperate attempt to make helicopters viable after the IRIS-T update. They panicked as they realized they made helicopters virtually obsolete, so in a desperate attempt to make them relevant again, they introduced this broken piece of crap system that deflects all incoming missiles in a 360° sphere.
All they have to do to address this is…
one: make LDIRCCM be able to be overwhelmed, as most can only deflect 1 or 2 missiles, so double tapping is a way to defeat these helis.
And second: depict the LDIRCCM dazzlers coverage realistically, as they magically cover helicopters in a 360° sphere, specially in the Mi-28 which only covers from below to protect against MANPADS, so it IRIS-T shouldn’t even be affected by it to begin with.
That would give these helis a saving grace, but wouldn’t make them immune to IIR missiles like IRIS-T and AIM-9X anymore. ARH can be chaffed away or multipathed easily anyway.
tbf, that would make it pretty much useless against IRST, because they tend to spam so many missiles at you which is probably why they added it
They added this system as a band-aid solution, but making IRIS-T borderline useless against all the top helicopters isn’t one that we should be okay with.
As long as coverage of the dazzlers is depicted correctly, we will have some respite from the heli ground massacre that Gaijin is allowing in top tier ground right now.
But hopefully we will eventually also have the ability to overwhelm these systems, Gaijin really just messed up by introducing the IRIS-T missile to the game, it’s just an overall extremely potent missile with almost no counters but ground players deserve the ability to strike back as well.
Why are you crying about CAS being Russia’s only good thing then? :)
Three: actually make heli ground radar work like it’s supposed to, display target types and also a moving targets modes
Four: make IR/UV launch warning receivers work. It should detect a 9x missile being launched or an ADATS
