awesome. in the sense of why should minor nations helis just be automatically dead to the ones of china, usa and russia without counterplay while not being able to do anything to them. question still stands what youre doing vs almost invincible helis then if you cant kill them with most heli launched agms, ground based ir spaa, saclos spaa if they keep their range and dont climb to suicide alt and stay low enough to multipath spaa launched fox 3s (or just notch them or hover)?

I dont like it because it sets the precedent that US will never get any unique systems

because even stuff that hasnt been exported like JAGM MR and CIRCM get added to export versions in game

at the same time as stuff export users use on their aircraft (such as BOL) are not added to the US versions, meaning that the US will inevitably have the worst versions of their own systems

unique or op? besides, how is it unique if russia china and us are all having ldircm and for all of these it is absolutely broken and overperforming turning those 3 nations into the only ones having helis which are around twice as good .
while for all other nations spawning helis means wasting 600 spawn points if any of the ldircm helis sees you and you have to hope enemy heli players are bad and get too close and careless so they can get shot down with saclos spaa?

it also doesnt set the predecent that us can still get other unique systems, which they already have btw. Most other nations are also having their stuff that they exported appear in other tech trees

true, if you know they are coming from that range. and if you move out too early they relock. if you drive through smoke they relock. if you drive behind any cover they relock (similar to iog fox 3s) and hit you should you just be moving behind the cover and move out on the other side. its not fool proof but it still makes them connect way more often than spikes or pars would.

No what I’m saying is that a LDIRCM helicopter player that’s not completely oblivious can keep a jet at distance with its weapons.
If you’d invest half the time you spend in war thunder in any intellectual activity you’d be insane at following basic trains of thought

i see, yeah sure if you know the missile was coming for you at least. might have been just locked on to someone else, but that feature is as random as anything in this game so idk. random missile evasion pops up from basically anything at this point it feels like.

This could potentially be the fix to deal with Mi-28NM spam, finally gaijin is putting balance over realism in regards to NATO vehicles

Funny how it works for me probably 95% of the time.
And if you see the heli turning towards you, just don’t engage him. Such a hard concept.

Ahhh yes because i can predict what the enemy heli will do in 40s (or whatever the spike guidance time is for >5km shots).

I had a really nasty experience recently where i snuck up behind an NM in the AH60, sent a good 8 spikes his way, watch him turn around, ignore every single spike and send a single LMUR that killed me within 5 seconds 🫩👍

We are talking about jet vs heli though, not sure why you would need 40s to engage him.

Yeah guess what defending doesn’t automatically mean blowing swomeone out of the sky, it can sometimes be just surviving.

My attitude is actually great most of the time. It’s just very dependent on the opposite party and somehow it’s always the same names drawing out the passive aggressiveness. Oh yeah and it’s obviously dependent on the topic, not a lot of reasons to have a great mood in a thread like this.

Yeah sorry the typical heli on heli engagement is at 6-8km distances, in that a Spike er takes nearly a minute to connect

Yea, with every non-LDIRCM heli, which includes all spike helis, you are just food for them anyway and they are immune to your spikes.
Better just not shoot at them at all, so they don’t get missile evasion and start looking for you.
