The MI28NM problem

How bad a helicopter pilot needs to be to die against a radar missile lmao.

I disagree, the DIRCM works well against heat-seeking missiles from lower-level BRs, but on the same BR you can expect to find Saclos missiles as well, so don’t rely on it working against everything. And there’s the SPAAS trick of firing one missile and guiding another at it; sometimes it works…

On some maps/side combos you actually have to balloon high up to see the battlefield from your helipad.

The only way helis can die to ARH currently is if they move forward / backwards too much relative to the SPAA / aircraft (more accurately the missile themselves) that fired them.

Yeah, I didn’t really watch the replay to see where he was going, probably back to his helipad as the map didn’t really allow great views from the spawn.

Anything IRCM and most normal AAMs will literally bypass DIRCM

I have flown the Mi-24 enough to know that it’s useless.

Even tested it with a buddy, no matter the alt, direction, etc. the DIRCM on hinds is total crap. Same with the other Russian helis.

Mi-24s don’t get DIRCM. They get regular IRCM, which is basically useless against every IR missile (even non-IRCCM) (like you said).
The only helicopter with DIRCM is the KA-52, which does work against non-IRCCM and IRCCM missiles from jets.

Yeah, somehow I doubt the KA-52’s DIRCM works. I’ve been hit with plenty of Fim-92s, Strelas, AIM-9s, and so on.

Strelas sure – they have optical guidance.
The rest, no. The FIM-92s can kill you if it was indirectly shot, though.

I have been downed by LAV-AD’s many times in my KA-52 partially my fault for being too close, but Russian helis, despite the HRSS upgrade, run wayyyy too hot in game.

Ka52 do work against chaparral and antelope i thnk

I could probably count on my fingers the amount of times I got killed by stingers and ir missiles (9ms) in general. Hell, I probably got killed more by brimstones than it.

Granted, I touched the ka52 probably like 10 times ever since the new spaa came out but before that, I used it a ton and it was pretty solid at defending against IR missiles.

I’ve never had a good time in any heli, let alone Russian ones.

I always get killed by something they should be immune to like an Fim-92K.

But also planes get me here and there because they love to camp the helipads unhindered which is bs

Skill issue then. I’ve already used the German Mi-24P (which Russia also has) and you can easily get more than 5 kills per match with that thing, not to mention the Mi-28NM, which is currently the most broken because of the LMURs.

Irony because the Swede mi-28A is actually the one of the coldest helis.

I’ve seen Fim-92Ks fly around it, and miss it last sec with one flare pop.

Also, the Chinese heli is way more broken than the Mi-28nm

Are you sure about that?

Now, if you were to ask
@Ghost_of_TelAviv

Or the others of us who were testing the Ldircm, you would know the z-10me was never touched, while the ah-64e had minor hits, and the mi-28nm would get hit semi consistently.

CM-502KGs are ass and are only useful against light tanks and SPAA.
The BA-11s are much better.

From my experience playing the Z-10ME and AH-64E in both SRB and GRB, they have similar effectiveness at stopping IRIST missiles.
Sometimes the missiles just go through.

As you can see on my video even BA-11 is less successful than LMUR due to its trajectory profile.

The only advantage BA-11 has over LMUR is the seeker warm-up time.
