The maus

You cannot aim for such a small weakspot on a tank that has a really good mobility, it’s really tough, if my armor mattered there (frontal armor) then of course, i have the armor advantage and he has the mobility advantage to get on my side and shoot me. Except it doesn’t go this way because he will just once again outrun my turret rotation and one-shot me from the front, peak gameplay.

You seem to know a lot about that tbf.

There you said it! it is at a disadvantage, not every disadvantage.

We could use decompression at around 8.0 to make some room between fully stabilized tanks with darts and those WW2 designs.
As bad as higher tier heavies might be, they could teach new players that not all vehicles can perform in all playstyles.

Sorry but it is not small. It is just a weakspot that You can pen without any issue on a tank that is on +1 B.R.

You are on uptier, it is normal that You can’t be immortal.

You can check my E-100 stats in RB or Maus to be honest and see that I’m talking about things I understand.

And Maus still has advantages. I have listed them above.

I think gaijin has done that at some point, problem is they also moved the WW2 vehicles a bit higher, so we just ended up with the same problem, just higher up. It seems they only wanted to decompress early and middle WW2 era tanks.

Fair point.
But for the people that play them just to enjoy their potentially favorite tank it is kind of a pain.
Also most of those vehicles don’t really have a playstyle when facing extremely advanced post war designs, so while at first it would be really beneficial to teach them that not all vehicles can perform in a certain playstyle, it might aswell discourage them from playing since those particular tanks don’t really have any playstyles to begin with, they’re mostly just food for post war tanks.

But taking this into consideration we shouldn’t shield every WW2 designs from cold war tanks, it may indeed be beneficial.

Whether you think it is or not doesn’t really matter, the fact is it is a pretty small weakspot that is on a very mobile tank, which is obviously extremely hard to hit when your turret is the size of a small house lol.

I just have to see your posts to see that you don’t really, but thanks for the proposition. Also, i do play the maus and I am able to have occasional decent games with it, just because you are able to do good with it doesn’t mean every war thunder player will.

Sure thing, it has the advantage of being really cool looking! that’s certainly gonna help on the battlefield right? I have already listed the disadvantages of the Maus in an up tier, which is literally everything.

Further arguing is useless now, It was already pointed out during the discussion that the problem isn’t the vehicle or the playerbase, It’s the BR system.

The issue is, that is not a fact.

The fact is that is not a small weakspot and can be eaisly shooted at. Especially that the place I have pointed out is not just a small pixel, but the whole turret ring is a waekspot.

That is why You have to just get better in it rather than crying on forum about it.

Maus can deal with +/- 1 B.R. without any issue.

If You can’t read, that is not my problem.

Speaking of full downtier, you will get bombed every other game lol my record was 6 consecutive deaths by CAS.

This being dealt with, does anybody have ideas on the proper way we could fix the BR system without breaking every BR ranges in game?

That is other issue with current gameplay.

But we are just talking about facing other tanks.

Very realistic tho

They surely need to do it again.
Decompression at 8.0 would help all tanks there, not just heavies, because STAB vs no STAB is a big deal and when you add darts + LRF to the mix it becomes too much.

In uptiers I always considered them to be light tanks that are slow and due to awful reload they should sit somewhere further away and overlook a popular pathway, trying to nuke people with their pretty good APHEs.
Of course this is more of a sniping role but it should work fairly decently.

Scaling BR brackets or severe decompression - kind of the same outcome.

We retain the 1.0 difference until about 6.0. 6.0 can get both 1.0 and 0.7.

Over 6.0, we reduce to 0.7. Over 10, we may or may not reduce it further - I only got 10.3 plane experience so cannot comment how bad it is over 10.3/11.3. And the numbers are more informed by ARB than GRB, GRB might be able to manage until 7.0 rather than 6.0.

Very annoying repeatedly dying to things that it has no counter against, sometimes as early as 2 minutes into the game, and hadn’t even rolled out of the spawn point yet. Sometimes realistic ain’t fun, I rather have fun over realistic bro

This might work indeed
It could even fix the J-35 issue, which is basically the same as the Maus but for air lol

I think there should definitely be a big BR gap between FOX-3 carriers and aircraft without FOX-3s, but i don’t really know how we could put this, I’m not sure reducing it to 0.7 would fix that.

didn’t say it was fun, I agree CAS is broken currently but you can’t say it isn’t the real Maus expirence

Hadn’t taken it out in months, probably closing in one year, getting bombed way too much and it has annoyed me enough not to play it anymore, playing this thing sometimes motivates me enough to bind a one-touch key to leave the vehicle instantly when bombs land near me to deny their kill lol

Having fought Maus with both the Rise and the M60 recently, I don’t think either has a “easy” time of it.

Yes the APFDS can penetrate the Maus, but it can still stop them or tank them because of the interior size of the Maus.

Where as a single good hit from the Maus is usually fatal for the M60.
