What’s the point of Heavy Tanks when they get matched against future ammunition like Darts and ATGM’s, and even artillery strikes and HE slingers that all negate your Singular trait: ARMOR
How stupid is it to just get instantly destroyed in your heavy because someone clicked arty on the map!?

Ignoring the many problems that come with balancing such a vehicle…
Its armor struggles because it faces vehicles that are significantly more advanced than itself, we’re talking about 50s and 60s era vehicles that are able to face a 1940s design. It just isn’t fair. What’s funny is that you don’t see many german mains cry when their Tiger IIs get destroyed by 40s era designs, just because it’s fair. Even if it’s a very early post war design it’s still gonna follow the Armor doctrine and use conventional WW2 ammunition.
In the end, whether you deny it or not Maus players are still at a large Disadvantage in an uptier compared to any other 7.7 vehicles.

It really isn’t. There is no discussion to have really.
There aren’t really that much problems with it. Players just need to understand how to use it.
Sounds like most heavies as they are fighting vehicles that traded armor for something else.

I think it was either the Ariete or some similar flareless/missileless hyper-mobile high energy retention jet (maybe the mig-19?)

Facing bradleys in a Maus? Sure, it’s as fair as can be.
It’s just too much stuggle, it cannot rely on anything in an uptier, not even its gun can pass certain modern armor types that we see at 8.7.
Except there’s not as many HEAT-FS armed vehicles for them, why should the maus face literally only post war designs if those low tier ammunition can already deal with heavy armor?
As you say those smaller vehicles have an advantage, they traded their armor for better mobility and better shells, the thing is the Maus has no advantage , it’s slow, its armor is literally useless in an uptier, its gun doesn’t allow the shell to go through many post war armor types, and it’s heavy as sh*t.
You are free to stop discussing and go back to playing the F-8F or Do-335 then, if you think the discussion is that useless.
Then let’s make it balanced, and end your wet dream of being literally invincible in your post war tanks while facing a 1944 tank.
I totally get your point, and i agree with it, now perhaps we shall ask ourselves is it normal that the BR system is so broken that we need to ask this question? If the BR system was good we shouldn’t even think of this, in fact, the Maus would still be a tech tree vehicle today.
The real problem here is the BR system, it is the only culprit and the only factor of this whole Maus chaos, maybe we should try to correct this instead of arguing about the Maus.
With this I agree. Even something as simple as a 0.7 BR spread over the 1.0 would have a massive impact I feel above 6.0 BR.
Under 6.0, it doesn’t seem like there’s that massive capability jumps while starting at 6.0, you do end up with vehicles fighting in entirely different and weird environments depending on if it’s a 7.0 or a 6.7 game.

At 3.0 You can already face a vehicle with 400mm of pen at any distance. Armor doesn’t matter from the beggining if You can’t use it.
Because in an utpier You are not supposed to have the advantage.

Exactly! Despite what gaijin says i don’t think it would make queue times longer, and even if it does, i would be willing to wait longer to be able to play and be competitive in a very interesting vehicle in War Thunder.
Doesn’t the maus get a “sabot” APCBC for the 12.8 that works really well

You don’t see the fact that an ATGM being fired at a maus is ridiculous? Or perhaps you’re doing it on purpose i can’t tell. You are at every disadvantage against a bradley, your armor doesn’t matter, your mobility is worse than his so you won’t be able to maneuver if he rushes at you etc…
Anyways, this was only an example, most tanks in 8.3-8.7 have literally every advantage over the maus, Mobility, Gun, Shell penetration, range etc…
Alright, try destroying an M60A1 RISE with Reactive armor then, knowing he has better mobility and will probably just outrun your turret rotation and give you an APFSDS or HEAT-FS to the face.

There are significantly less of those vehicles in 3.0, most tanks at that BR are WW2 tanks, even in an uptier, as opposed to the maus which is literally constantly facing Post-war 50s and 60s era tanks.
The game should still be playable in an uptier, you can do very well with almost every other tanks in an uptier, you’re not supposed to be at every disadvantage, which you are in an uptiered Maus.
Glad i was able to bring back some memories haha, perhaps you should try them out again it’s always fun playing vehicles you haven’t touched in a while.
I was saying this in an uptier, thankfully at 7.7 your gun is still very usefull with that 8.8cm shell.
