Mhm - if you read this reply from a dev you might have the impression that they are just humans like everybody else. With all consequences. Bias is human, based on education, society, experiences - i mean they lost 26 - 40 mln people in WW2 (depending on source); it looks more than comprehensible that this has an impact until today.
So with this quote:
We don’t plan to add avatars of the Axis countries in these events. There are serious fears of getting much more negative feedback from the general public than these infrequent requests.
There is no desire to figure out who is a Nazi, who is a war criminal, etc. They are all members of an aggressive military block, waged an offensive war and lost it, leaving a purely negative mark on history.
…you need no tin foil hat to assume that fair balancing for in this case German vehicles might not be their top priority. Btw - if you would follow this logic and just ask a Finish or Polish guy from 1939 which country invaded their eastern border you might hear another view. Thank god this is an off-topic thread.
I dont understand what “freedom of speech” has to do here with what I asked, I was not judging and I am happy with the answer provided.
Lets go back to the subject. I agree with you about the bias, it is the reason why you will never see a referee officiate a game with his native nation involved in any kind of international sport.
@motorola, there is some sort of bias in wt because their main source of feedback comes from russian players. I am not talking about common bugs happening regardless of the nation. I will not make a list of all these issues that are pending for a fix of foreign vehicles, just take a look in the forum. I believe it is not intentional, it is not their priority, thats it.
My assumption is that they don’t have enough time to look at every feedback and fix everything, so they prioritize the feedbacks from people they know and speak the same language for convenience and because they are considered close like.
Lets say you are on a cruise in the middle of the antlantic with a friend. The ship is sinking. Will you help your friend first or any other random person that you have never seen before that cruise?
Again, I am not judging, I think it is natural human behavior. When the russian community is asking something, it is prioritized.
The whole text is irrelevant if the numbers given have no sources and if the comments provide actual sources showing that the numbers said are not real. As I sated. The comments on your own source show that your source is crap.
The whole premise is already crap.
Just a few questions one immediatly should have before even reading the first part of the interview
Does Russia have a concept of politically motivated socialmedia arrests? (laws)
Does Russia have a concept of social media arrests? (laws)
Does Britain have a concept of politically motivated socialmedia arrests? (laws)
Does Britain have a concept of social media arrests? (laws)
After the first exchange:
How many of these arrests are politically motivated
How many are against people whos human rights have been infringed upon
What kind of punishment is expected in these cases.
Registration for Vote via SMS is possible in many countries, posting information designed to spread misinformation about the “new” process of mail-in voting was deemed “election interference”.
Here btw the offical source and not some Joe Rogan bullshit.
Again you showed that your are actively doing what you call others.
You really need a much bigger tin-foil-hat.
And you should stop bringing up political debates, it is against the forum rules.
You are just so absolutely indoctrinated that I can not let you go without giving you at least some education
Sure they are, no one tried to disprove they are human beings. This fact makes them prone to things humans often do, like making mistakes and not knowing how to fix them.
I was just making a remark about things people often use to prove bias.
I don’t see German vehicles being singled out and treated badly just because of WW2 and devs’ standpoint on that. Quite contrary, their vehicles (at least ground ones) are often one of the stronger ones on the battlefield.
Dont think so.
Russia spends a lot of money on games.
For example, NCSoft with their multiplayer games. Russia is among the leaders in donations.
NCSoft Lineage 2 W presentation
Of course, we don’t have statistics, but I think the numbers are more than you expect
ye, if you are a terrorist or extremist
No
I dont know about UK laws. But I know for sure (maybe not but anyway) that in Britain there are more online arrests than in Russia; I read statistics a long time ago about the supposed “freedom of speech” in EU countries
I can describe it. We had groups of murderers who forced children to commit suicide. Popular at the time. Nobody cared about this until there was a media splash.
almost all Russians here use Telegram, and there it is very difficult, if not impossible, to obtain data for the FSB. Our yard chats are located in Telegram. So you write to your neighbor in a telegram
There is your reason why russia has fewer arrests labaled as such.
It finds no metion because it falls under general arrest for political reasons.
The entire point was that the base of the “argument” was wrong.
You can not compare arrests because of social media posts in the UK to russia because in the UK you will be arrested for online posts infringing upon the rights of others, you will not be arrested for criticism towards the regime.
In russia it is the other way around.
If there is a sense of elitism among the Russian player community and they are influential in driving the direction of the game, can you explain the simplification, or “dumbing-down” of maps for ground vehicles?
NMSL/你妈死了literally means “death to your mother”. I find it kinda suprising that wt players on Western platforms especially TEC fans are so pro gaijin, reddit is infested with corporate bootlickers (and not just Gaijin’s, Creative assembly and EA also have a cult on there that spends 23 hours a day defending their predatory business model)
