The M1A2 AIM should be added to the British tech tree

yeah i agree with pretty much every thing your saying but the devs have kinda thrown the whole nations having thier own top mbts thing out the window so i can see why british players are pivoting to wanting an abrams as well.
if they asked the average UK main though they would prob just want a chally rework instead but thats never happening so this is prob the best they can hope for in terms of tanks

they could do the nation folder thing others have suggested. where both US and UK could have acess to a folder of Australian vehicles, which are assigned a main nation. for example, Hornets, Abrams, and F-111C are US. the new IFV and ww2 planes are UK. so if someone wanted to run a pure Australian lineup they could, but if you wanted to run an HSTV-L with the new IFV or a Challenger with the F/A-18, you couldnt

That would be a pretty cool idea

IMO they should just make a new tree with Australia and Canada and move all of its vehicle to this new tree. Why they should be together? Idk but it would end the argument who would get Canadian or Australian vehicle

even combined they would not have enough unique vehicles to make a proper nation

here is the suggestion from @MAUSWAFFE
its a little different from my idea of allowing pure nation lineups but stopping ones like HSTV-L + Boxer, but its largely the same

Does uniqueness even matter in game any more?

Not as much as it did before but there would be no point in adding another nation just for it the have every jet and tank be the exact same as the US anyway

That’s fair

Big difference between China and UK in this game, there is a lot more potential money to be earned from the chinese playerbase.

China in game isn’t played all that much more than The UK is so the devs will throw the UK a bone from time to time plus its pretty low effort since its a copy paste so its in there wheelhouse.

true.

china has a quite aggressive wallet warrior culture far beyond the typical wales of the west

That is an option that has gotten a lot of support from the Canadian and Australian playerbase. I’ve even been helping make suggestions for the type of tree. Been the one doing the ground version even. Let’s just say, they have so much unique stuff(and stuff in general), I’ve run out of room under the 5-line limit.

your definition of unique stuff is a pretty huge stretch. and you do include many many variants of vehicles, which i dont have a problem with, but thats not the reality of WT unfortunately.

ok mr “gibs me meteor”

only on the F-35 where there is extensive photo and written evidence.

and realistically, the F-35’s will end up like the Typhoons regardless of our opinions, all basically the same except for maybe the F-35I

only through gaijin laziness.

if you wish to ignore the private venture aspect of this you can only get an inert meteor missile for the US, the same argument for why we cant get EAP, its not a real missile mounted but a test dummy

fair enough. in time though

idk, part of the F-35 is commonality. so there is a case to be made for them all being largely the same.

The US working to integrate the Meteor in the F35 is far more involved than a couple Brits sitting in an M1A2.

American F35 flying with a Meteor missile. That makes it feasible, which is the basis for adding weapons to the game. Therefore, the US should get the Meteor.

theyre not gonna like this lol
