The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

Just like every NATO tank from 90’s and go on, it should.

even the challenger 2 has some. It would be surprising that the Leclerc as the most modern western design after the type 10 did not have spall lining

Note that the Leclerc SSXI should have better armor on the front of the turret

Its already a know issue,

I thought we had something similar going for a minimum of 700mm KE protection. We’ll have to see in some time then.

We do. This is just additional information to bulletproof the bug reports.

Like other rank VIII MBTs, Leclerc SXXI and AZUR got OFL 120 G1 stock on the dev server

Nice. 2 year to late for me, but necessary for the new guys in top tier France

Hello @Gunjob,

Could you please take a look at this? It’s additional information for the recent bug report regarding the Leclerc’s armour: Community Bug Reporting System

is there a tiny chance that the Leclerc will finally be corrected for this update?? because we have been waiting for this for several years!!! it’s not like we don’t have any proof of all these bugs

Maybe they’ll implement some chages after the backlash they received yesterday.

what negative reaction I am not aware of

considering they haven’t shown a rank 8 MBT, so maybe there is hope

Go to stona’s profile and see one of his latest posts, the one from yesterday, it’s about the lack of communication from Gaijin and failure at accepting bug reports as such.

I’ve been looking into the issue for Leclerc spall lining and found this. I figured I’d drop it here even though I’m still early into research and don’t know much else.

One more thing as well. Crew survivability at least has a recent study with spall lining being a defining characteristic. The Leclerc being classed as a vehicle that is meant to be able to recover from penetrating hits with as little injury to the crew as possible.

Let us pray that the other reports that passed a few weeks ago lead to improving the Leclerc’s and we shall have a somewhat competitve MBT…

Probably the last thing I’ll look for on the topic.
The Leclerc under the United Arab Émérites in Yémen found that the Leclerc was satisfactory in the engagements it was in.
Protection was sufficient but certain hits les them to give feedback for:
•Armor technology to have Nano-crystalized materials similar to the Type-10.
•Soft-kill protection systems
•Laser Warning systems that is used by the ZTZ-99 as it’s a French system
•Hard Kill protection systems

I went through way to much porn to find this

If protection was considered satisfactory besides those it would be a point that crew survivability is part of the tank. Spall lining in real life doesn’t prevent all splinters, it just catches the majority and reduces the energy of those that penetrate.
