Thats what i try to say, Gaijing dont want russian tanks be helpless… The only thing they are good now is very specific armor which not always helps ( only against noobs or nervous players), and if they do this feature properly now the russian tanks gonna become the worst tanks at top tier. And Gaijing will never do something like that. The only thing i want from them is proper armor for Leclerc and others NATO tanks and moduled spalliners, that’s all at tte moment. Shells is not very big deal tbh…
Well that is if we still use in game values. Russian tanks have also got new armour from this decade, and that is largely unclear to us. As far as research papers go composites on the ufp are still enough to fend off apfsds, + it is impossible to eliminate the effect of ERA, I would say the conclusion hasn’t really changed. U can’t expect to say u have won by beating Russian tanks from the 1980s when newer tech are available, since not every tank will have the newest round either.

As for Germans tests DM53 was more than enough to capable penetrating Kontakt-5 equipped tanks and considering Russian’s overestimates i highly doubt their result reflects the reality.
Of course, in reality russian tanks didn’t stop in 1980.

Yeap, but some tanks hava better armor then others coz they got Gaijing treatment and love but others no… But actualy you are right here coz lots of information about modern tanks is classified… And still some tanks gets normal armor and others not. Why? Coz Gaijing don’t care about minor nations like Italy or France, sadly…

But lets be honest, Gaijing just don’t care and we can’t make them to do something… And the problem is that players don’t care too, coz 90% of players don’t play minor nations at all… And Gaijing can accept everything we tell them then just don’t do it. That’s so frustrating for me…
Modern? They got their hands on T80U when DM33 was relatively new, they tested and turns out DM33 wasnt effective against Kontakt-5, thats why they developed DM53 in the first place.
You can search up according to these informations, its been a long time since i saw the documents about it.
I knew about DM33 tests on T80U but never saw anything on DM53. I’ll have a look though. Thx.
