I personally never run helis unless I have a spare spot and no fixed wing CAS to fill it.
If everything goes according to my plan I’ll be able to buy the Leclerc S1, SXXI, Azur and ItO in the upcoming sale (if I manage to grind at least 55k RP per day, which is doable). So my personal french top tier lineup will likely be S1 + SXXI + AZUR + ItO + 35NL + Mirage F1 prem or 2000C S4.
The matter of the problem is that many French top tier players on play top tier for the CAS. tiger, m2k and f16 are the reason France has good stats.
Leclercs, not so much. This is why I don’t play top tier anymore
I mean I have this issue with China, but obviously Chinese helis are useless cause their RWR don’t work, they are the same as the ones on F100. Anyway, I will get Maverick for F16 today, should I go for 3 or 6, cause 6 I can’t bring AIm7M.
Leclerc is the reason, cause it does do well when the player is really good, the fast reload and good depression can be utilised very well, and because there is no premium spam (yet). Like Abrams are ok, and US has great CAS, but due to Clickbait their top tier is miserable to say the least.
Even decent players will need more than 2.

I’m going to run with 2 anyway since i play China mainly, but for Leclerc, unless you have infinite supply of backup crews, there is no point not bringing 3 + CAS + Crotale.
“Want” and “need” are very different. If you die enough to warrant needing to replace support vehicles with more MBTs, you aren’t decent at the game.
I only use light tanks to fill up remaining spots that can’t be filled with MBTs, SPAA or Planes and even if I have one in my lineup I only use them as last spawns.
However my skill level is more than fine and stats are higher than your account, curious hmmm. And I don’t even think I’m that good at the game, above average I would rate myself.
Once again, “want” and “need” are very different. People don’t need more than two MBTs, but some want them.

Mirage 2000 and spading my Leclercs were the only reason I played top BR France.

I feel like France is quite rare for GRB in asian server, anyone else feel the same? I normally play on EU but I notice a significant drop in France and some other minor nations player number.
I guess there’s is a significant portion of minor nation mains that are of that nation, so not much people playing Italy, UK and France in Asian server

Not really, i mainly do my kills with the leclerc (ok those days not going well i’m too focused on finishing grinding adats and soon american heli, the times i started a game with France i was tilted)
my heli is still semi stock because i’m lazy and have no clue nor the will of how to play it otherwise i nearly did nukes few times with leclerc/ito.
Mirage is for sure really good as cas but this is most likely not on what gaijin rely on for the stats for the leclerc, i do at best 3-4 kills with it but not much more.
For the leclerc sometimes somehow don’t get pen or just loose 1 crew and can shoot back smoothly thanks to the autoloader, the thermals help greatly to find people and i think turret rotation is quite fast compared to other mbt so can easily switch to another target.
One of the big problem is that it really has no armor and any ifv crush you too easily.

Some of us just like to actually spawn as many times as we can on a match till it’s over.
I am not leaving just because I died twice or thrice. I’m staying till either my SP are gone, or the match is over.
Take this match, for example; I died 5 times, but I got 13 kills (2.6 K/D), 2 caps and an assist in the proccess; and if the match hadn’t ended right then because half the team left having done nothing, I still had MORE vehicles left on my lineup to spawn with and continue the fight.
And yes, 99% of the times, an actual MBT will be more helpful than a 3x BRs lower “support vehicle” with a 25/30mm gun and broken missiles which I still use more for fun/variety than usefulness (gonna replace TKX with RCV whenever I unlock it).
So… shit on me for “being a bad player” for having more than 2 MBTs on my lineups as much as you like; but that won’t stop me from spawning in my comically large lineups to actually support my team till the end instead of leaving after 2 deaths.
Im from New Zealand, and play in SA severs. I almost never see another Leclerc. every now and then there might be another player, but not often. Its even more rear to see someone playing Italy past rank 3.

Why would I need more than 2 MBTs, if not because I died more than twice and therefore need more spawns? Your initial message suggests that dying more than 2 is being a bad player.
Otherwise, why would needing more than 2 MBTs be a problem?
If every single member on this thread understood this, maybe you should consider that you didn’t express yourself well, rather that “it’s hard to understand to all of us”.
