The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

Y’know, it’s funny how @WaretaGarasu the poor bastard has to put together 25+ sources (including primary sources) to have the Leclerc’s reload buffed to its historically accurate 5 seconds, but then the devs will just arbitrarily give Swedish autoloaders a 5 second reload which is not actually possible in reality: Community Bug Reporting System.

Yikes, that sounds horrible… so if the Leclerc series were to get their proper armor values, they would arguably be one of the best tanks in the game

Reckon they’ll gimp the Rheinmetall 130mm’s 3 second reload when it eventually comes? It’s not as if autoloaders have to conform to historical accuracy anymore…

i would understand if it was for balance, goddamn the fact that they needed 25+ sources to get to buff the leclerc reload like if the abrams didnt just had a reload buff or like if it was impossible

One of the best indeed, but Leclercs ingame are really far from what they should be and armor is not the only problem saddly.

Firepower too, when everybody got new shells few years ago, we still have the same best shell that we got on the release of the first Leclerc ingame long time ago.

And mobility is nerfed too, Leclercs use a hyperbar engine (the engine is coupled with an helicopter turbine who act like a turbo), unlike every other “basic” diesel engine in other MBTs, when the driver press the accelerator, the full power of the engine is almost instant, not “building” in time like every other MBT like it’s saddly the case ingame now…

Would give the Leclercs the big upperhand in mobility, specially from stop if Gaijin model and put the Hyperbar ingame.

To give you some idea on how look the Leclercs mobility IRL:

(close the sound, music is horrible haha
But at 0:25 and specially 0:48 give you a good idea how broken it is in WT vs IRL)

The moment they decided to add the the AIM-9M, the bug report on the Magic 2 having IRCCM, wich was already a quite in depth report mind you, went from “But actually can you demonstrate how the seeker is better ?” to “Getting added next update.” nearly instantly.

Holding things for balance is nothing special for Gaijin, they’ve always tweaked things left and right, but the big downside is that it can turn very nonsensical. Like the AMX-10RC still holding onto it’s reload nerf because the turret is allegedly cramped.

yeah but gaijin decision making its questionable

Now just imagine the France TT without you, Wareta and others beating the devs into submission with your research :D

Same with the Foch.

2 loader, big place for them, one part ammo, but it get the reload time of tanks that have 2 part ammo, sometimes only one loader, and less place xD

And recently vextra too, should reload quicker than that, but we getting off topic x)

The list is even longer. You can add the AMX 40 into the mix

And both ARLs that should have an assisted reloading system and shoot every 5/6s, but not the case ingame.

Buuut gaijin used the presence of those system to nerf the gun depression…

Should the mantlet of the Leclerc be armored too IRL ? A 30mm autocannon or a SPAA can disable a Leclerc without issue.

New video of the Leclerc XLR (in French, you can enable automatic translation in settings)

I guess when the driver of the tank say that it has a fast reverse speed of 50+, it is a special mode and so will not be put into the game if this leclerc is added ?

And i’m not that hopeful on this little armor they added even with how small it is gaijin will somehow just ignore it.

Otherwise seems like that they are using shard on them now so it should be something at least on this side.

Yes, the mystery of the Leclerc’s actual top speed deepens.

The armour still hasn’t changed from the SXXI. The XLR is still a WIP and expected to weigh 63-65 tonnes. The only thing that has changed so far is some of the electronics and improved mine protection. It’s known that the optics are slated to be changed (which hasn’t occurred yet), so the armour could still change as well.

I agree. Let’s play it safely and request Gaijin changes the Leclerc’s top speed from 72 kph to Mach 3.

What are the projected optics for this variant ? Perhaps Paseo ?

Gunner sight is having the thermal imager interchanged with 4th generation SATIS. Commander sight will be PASEO - perhaps the newest version which is why it’s taking so long?
