Is the Leclerc still oversized in game? Compared to real life.
It didn’t change, and even if it was bigger then by only about 10cm. By measuring the tank in CDK it was confirmed to be accurate to real life, people just came to the wrong conclusion when comparing it to another tank

The challenger 2 had a recent dev blog to help address the issues with the vehicle, the abrams got one prior to that… I think it’s only fair the leclerc’s get the same level of attention by the devs with the long list of bug reports on the vehicle.

Considering how gaijin apparently misrepresented some of the bug reports in that Challenger dev blog, I’m really not sure such a blog post for the Leclerc is something I want to see honestly.

At least they will tell us directly that they don’t see any problem with the Leclercs and/or that they don’t have enought information about it. No need to sugarcoat it. Then, we can stop having expectatives and rest assured nothing’s going to change.
That, or they admit several thingss are wrong and they’re on track to fix them. Depends on your optimism.

Penetration would still be an issue at 8.0, but this would help them both immensely against other stabilized tanks.

Yeah i think implementing the EMBT would be a good decision, it has the same chassis armor then the 2A7V, so no difference there, the turret is weaker then a leopard because its just way thinner at some point and gajin gonna screw it either way because armor values arent known. Cannon is a bit weaker then L/55 as well, but workable.
Since Shard is questionable, it can just be given DM53 for france as well as for germany because its a shared project and the gun should be able to fire DM53.
The APS system is in the game already as well.
Overall gajin could implement the EMBT for both france and germany at any coming update. At least i dont see anything against it, since france could do with another tank and the XLR with higher caliber gun is unlikely in comparison

No, give it SHARD and call it a day. Its beyond embarassing that we are in 2024 and we still have DM43 as a main round, let alone Leopards that should atleast have DM63/73. Devs was thinking about adding M829A3, i do not see the issue about adding SHARD then.

Of course that would be the optimal solution, but we know how gajin is and would freak out if USSR would totaly fall behind on rounds

Thats too bad for them then, they should’ve developed a better round.
They did, it’s just that the ammo is too long to be used in the autoloaders 99% of their tank fleet is equipped with.
Which is just simply IRL skill issue; should’ve just developed a new autoloader alongside this new ammo.
I’d wait with SHARD for XLR personally. Current S.21 and AZUR can get DM53 just like Arietes did. Of course that would require Gaijin to stop hating on France which probably won’t happen.

When we had Leclerc S1, we said “let’s wait for Leclerc S2”. When we had Leclerc S2, we said “let’s wait for Leclerc S3 (Leclerc S.XXI)”. When we had Leclerc S.XXI, we said “let’s wait for Leclerc AZUR”. And now, 4 years later, we have 4 Leclerc variants and all the Leclercs are all still bad MBTs.
There’s no point in adding more Leclerc variants unless they fix the Leclercs.

I mean true but adding DM53 to current S.21 and AZUR would freshen up current Leclerc. I just think SHARD would be too good for the current game and should be reserved to later Leclercs.
I will be honest : adding a new round to the Leclercs won’t change anything.
You’re still going to aim for the exact same weakpoints on your targets, while the core issues of the Leclercs will remain : no armor whatsoever, reload rate is too low, speed is just average.
A new shell is the last thing we need IMO

Never said it would fix the leclerc. Fixes from our list are very needed obv but as I said - a little bit of fresh air wouldn’t be bad

2000+ replies and still no changes??? Where is the Hyperbar system (literally a second engine stuck to the main engine to boost it at lower rpm), where is the armor (are we gonna be stuck with prototype armor forever??), where is SHARD, where is our bloody HE round (we don’t have a he round at top tier lol), spall liners??? (Documents from NEXTER confirmed it), reload??? (Abrams got buffed out of nowhere can we at least get the right one for the Leclerc?), LWS???, lower thermal footprint thanks to the hyperbar system???, I’m not gonna continue but you get my point I think…
