The Leclerc is in dire need of a buff

The pylon at the rear of the turret is the air probe (already present on the other Leklonks).

The second pylon in the middle of the turret is a pylon with cameras so that the crew can monitor the tank’s immediate surroundings.

This thing is the LWS on the AZUR

XLR Brochure, a modification of Leclercs and the latest upgrade, GALIX has been used

xlr brochure.rar (3.0 MB)

So, unless AZUR have an LWS sensor but they putted it just for fun, that should be more than enough to warrant the addition of LWS

ok, thanks for the information I wasn’t sure.

So what’s in green is the LWS?

Laser receiver for training laser simulation system (here at the CENZUB => Centre d’ENtrainement en Zone UrBaine)

The pole on the left of the commander cupola, thanks to @Mobius_Einherjar for the pics

ok ok Thanks a lot.

On the other hand, on the video it is said that the AZUR “normally” had a very special camouflage designed to evolve in urban environments. Do you know if Gaijin respected this? Perhaps this camouflage is available on the devs serv?

It’s very possible the type of LWS from AZUR has been taken into XLR along many other parts including the design of the skirts

Have you seen those wedges from inside?

There was a person on old forum who claimed that arrowheads and side wedges shouldnt provide those protection levels because of how their design.

People showed to him countless evidence, photos and diameters to prove that he was wrong and they did.

and on the other side there is evidence apfsds ignores angles so any funny construction inside dosent mater
but again we don’t know simular how dont know if relic can stop high power apfsds (unless there have been news on that)
so conclusion is there is non. theory and result are not the same thing

very nice!

“Suggestion” x)

The wedges remove the fins from the dart and destabilise it. Then, as long as it completely fits inside the cavity, it begins to tumble and hits the main armour at a suboptimal angle, causing it to have severely degraded performance or even shatter. The swedish trials showed that the wedges were incredibly effective.

Amazing!

You should be pushing for Leclerc improvements instead of flagging & defaming everyone.

I guess removing the side turret bustle ERA on the S1 and S2 is up next?

S21 supposedly saved weight by using ERA elements on the turret bustle. Then using that weight to improve frontal turret armor. S1 and S2 i guess only used composites on the bustle sides?

We do have any sources that states that?
