Tbh, I really want Leclercs to become unplayable at all and then gaijing will be forced to make Leclercs properly… Atleast give new shell (if this possible with gaijing), fix armor or at least give spall liners to it (Ik that in reality there aren’t “spall liners” but a KEVLAR which supposed to work and actually works as spall liner)

Otherwise, idk when gaijing will decide to bring Leclercs at the same level as other mbts (ariete is also in one boat with Leclercs)

No to be serious. Some nations just have equally underperforming spaa but dont get treated with the russian special attention somehow. If underperforming spaa was a reason to get special attention then some other nations would have been in much more need than russia which starting from 10.0 and possibly even before have the best spaas while others have rolands or some bs. But unfortunately not all tech trees are as lucky as russia apparently…

Ever eince they added the radar screen Rolands have jot been as bad to use as before. If you use the screen and autotracking it’s a lot easier and more effective.

Thx for the tip i might actually try that. Well its still out of the question whether an OSA that is almost undodgeable for some jets it can face (basically useless to bring any lower BR long range cas in a full uptier facing osas unless youre cas god) or the strela (which you could bring to top tier as a backup spaa if you really wanted) is better than the damn rolands 0.3 BR lower.

Type 03 (which is dead when the radar dies so this are its actual stats): 0.68 K/D, 0.55 K/S.
You can easily see that Russia desparately needed something overpowered to compete in the spaa department (Besides the Pantsir at 12.0). Now you can win matches in top tier by just keep spawning japanes mbts while 70% of the players duke it out between spaa and cas and you hold the whole ground map in two tanks hidden behind buildings, hoping your team keeps spawning spaa. Since your japanese spaa is useless and has been for years you just hope and pray that youre paired with a nation that has spaa (or queue with a friend that plays russia like i did), actually play the ground map and hide in a spot to cover one or two objectives as good as you can. awesome gameplay. You apparently can’t catch a break playing japan considering spaa.

Sadly, according to information that was mentioned Leclerc’s doesnt have access to spall liners.
Some people tried to bug report but turns out it didn’t have it from the beginning.
SHARD can be nice, tho hasn’t entered the service yet iirc.
That is the first and most important thing they should focus on.
It has been 4 years since armor was reported and Gaijin said they will look into it but nothing changed during that time.
Hell even Ariete recieved better UFP armor with rework while Leclerc still suffers from having weakest UFP and gun shield at top tier.

Let’s not go this way again pretty please, SHARD was fired, and is compatible with Leclerc, that is all that matters, see Italian MBT having dm53 while not using it on those.

I can’t be really confident with this one, so… I won’t argue. Just will say that I heard about analog of spall liners in Leclercs and it is KEVLAR, but I really don’t know if this is a thing for gaijing ┐('～`;)┌
Kevlar is not an analogue. Most linings are made from it.
For those who said that Leclerc doesn’t have spall liners
P.S. I can’t say if we can actually trust this information but I think, if there are statement about spall liners than Leclerc actually has it…
I don’t know your source, but I wouldn’t trust it since it’s calling the Leclerc “AMX 56” anyways

That is what I also was thinking about anyway… But still, if there aren’t spall liners in Leclercs them where all this sources and bug report about spall liners took the information from… It seems strange to me if they claim that Leclercs have spall liners while Leclercs actually doesn’t have them
Leclerc does have Kevlar lines that can reduce spalling but its not exactly the same as spall liners iirc.
Report about spall liner was accepted years ago but we haven’t heard any news on that.

It’s the same thing.
Spall liner is mostly made of Kevlar.
But if the Kevlar is inside the armor package, it won’t affect shrapnel inside the fighting compartment. Inside the armor package, it can reduce damage to the package from a shell hit, allowing it to withstand more hits.
personally believe the arietes shouldn’t be hurling DM53 at all.
They only got it as a balancing metric years ago cause they were so bad.

Yeah. They got DM53 back when they were somehow sitting at the same BR as the 2A7s and 122s lmao.
Now, they are at a relatively comfortable position at 11.7… so I fear Gaijin may intend to raise their BR “because of DM53” instead of just removing DM53, giving it its historical CL3143, and keeping it at 11.7 IF NOT even placing them at 11.3.
