That’s what I was thinking too. The armour is much worse than the T-90As / T-72B3s or T-80 Us (for that matter), effectively gets the same round as the T-90As / T-72B3s, with worse gun handling over the T-72B3s.
It just gets better reverse speed and neutral steering over the 11.3 T-72B3 (though that in itself is a huge plus).
That being said, I think it’s better than the Swedish T-80 U, which has better armour… but worse gun handling, thermals, reverse speed, and a much worse dart (it’s stuck with 3BM42), so maybe it’s fine at 11.7.
What I would say needs to get lowered is the VT5, though.
It’s just an M1A1 (P) at 11.7 with no armour, worse gun depression… but gets no NATO Hump, better thermals and the ability to drone and scout. 11.3 would make more sense for it.
The Booker should probably go to 11.0 too.

I don’t know how he plays (whether he spawncamps or not) but just from looking at his win rate and average team position, it seems like he one-spawn leaves quite often, and leaves matches without spawning if it’s an uptier fairly often.
But I agree that an average of 6.5KPS is crazy, let alone at top tier.

Yeah the reload and significantly better turret make the T 80 U’s disadvantages feel less… disadvantageous.
I cannot be asked to play another 7s vehicle, it’s torture. The upcoming ZTZ96B is looking promising though.

Looks like it will be better than the Al-Khalid / MBT-2000, and I’m still wondering why the VT4 is at 12.3 still.
I think 11.7 will be good for the 96B, but it is still unfinished so we’ll see. The main problem will be the very lackluster armor, mainly the turret, that roof is huge and will get overmatched by any APFSDS.
Having tried to screw around with the Leclerc on dev with the new basket modeled (which unlike many I am not opposed to), really feeling like the armour needs to be corrected (even glancing shots that barely pen knock out the horizontal from the other side of the tank if spalling even approaches the module), or a better round needs to be provided to account for the increase in deficiencies.
Or mobility being fixed. But as with Chally, that will only happen when the sun explodes.
The fact that their introducing such a massive nerf without anything to compensate for it (be it buffs or BR changes) is pure insanity.
Its February K/D is already not that much higher than the M1A2 SEP and T-80 BVM: 1.41 for the Leclerc SXXI (the best performing variant), 1.30 for the SEP and 1.31 for the BVM. The Leclerc S2 is the worst performing variant and is nearly tied at 1.32. All variants were below the Leo 2A7s and Strv 122s (except the Strv 122A, which was below the SXXI and S1 with K/Ds of 1.39, 1.41 and 1.40 respectively).
In January, it was: 1.43 for the Leclerc SXXI (again the best performing variant), 1.34 for the SEP and 1.33 for the BVM. The Leclerc S2 was also at 1.32, putting it below the SEP and BVM. All variants besides the SXXI were below the 2A7s and 122s. The SXXI is only ahead of the German 2A7V, with a K/D of 1.43 and 1.42 respectively.
When you take into account the average skill difference between France and US/Russia/Germany players that’s not a great situation, and that’s before this ginormous nerf.

The BMPT already killed a lot of my drive to play the game, and this has essentially killed almost everything that remained.
Speaking of, imagine adding the basket to one of the most mid tank in the game while another is absolutely decimating the balance of the game and doesn’t have it (even though it’s one of the most recent vehicles in the game and should have had it from day 1)
IIRC, the reason the VBCI has a manned turret is specifically because they wanted to keep fighting capabilities in case of power loss, so that should be accurate.
You can see something that could be one of the crank handle right above the joystick.
Those UFP values seems quite optimistic considering that the Ariete weigh less than a Leclerc while having no weight-saving design features such as an autoloader.
Totally agree on the additional protection from the WAR package being way too low however.

The massive difference here is that the Abrams and Leo 2s/Strv 122s are simply better tanks than the Leclercs.
I swear, the reaction of some of y’all to these changes to the Leclercs and Type 10s has just been catharsis out of some kind of spite or something. It’s not our fault these changes were implemented, so I don’t see why you’re just making these kind of snarky comments.
At least the Type 10 still has amazing firepower, but the Leclerc just has… nothing. Everything it can do, other tanks can do better, including being a jack of all trade. There’s no objective reason to pick over other tanks.
Not gonna lie… most of the sources in that report are of… questionable quality at best.
A 420mm KE upper plate protection at the LoS thickness given would give it better/superior modifier than some of the nano-ceramic composites created in 2010s by Germany/US/Japan/etc, it’s simply not beliveable.
They are. And the addition of the turret basket to them massively degressed their capability.
And it didnt reflect well anymore that the leos are in fact better then leclercs.
Brother it’s a game, it’s supposed to be balanced. If the Leclerc really is worse than the Leo 2 then it shouldn’t be at the same BR, otherwise they’re just clay targets to enable you to powertrip in your Leo.
