Yeah, I’m not expecting a br change for quite some time. I’d guess months, possibly a year or more. Be thrilled to be wrong though.
I think there is normal soviet OP-ness and there is this with the BMPT. Its just dominating too much for them to pretend to be fine like they normally do.
So im expecting it will go up in BR, but the question is by how much. It could be just 0.3 which would change absolutely nothing
Bradley simply doesn’t stand a chance against this thing. Whoever wrote that you could destroy a Termanitor with an autocannon by hitting the Ammo? Well, that myth has been busted.
You didnt hit the right pixel. Its that one, where im pointing, no not that one, the one next to it. So its clearly balanced, just need to aim better

Not that the Flakpanzer change did anything, apart from give Leopard 1s more PTSD from yet another autocannon spammer (though, BMPT doesn’t benefit from a full APHE belt).
Also I find it very funny how all of the other vehicles this patch recieved baskets for no good reason whatsoever and meanwhile, the BMPT’s didnt, despite it being the primary example of a vehicle where a basket actually makes sense…

(BMPT-72 brochure - uralvagonzavod, primary source)
I mean… It literally IS a basket.
0-20 and 0-30 is pretty meaningless data, every high tier vehicle is quick to reach such a low speed.
Clearly western propaganda, the turret actually hovers using magnets and isn’t attached at all, the crew simply pulls the entire thing to rotate it :)
Thats a biaswagon. Especially that is didn’t recieve a basket. Every new addition got one. Even my T400 event wheely.
works for me
Wow, you have to flip a coin before you shoot.
Just RNG at this point, had a match where i got both left and right belt and still survived
only one of them even bothered being set on fire from it
huh… almost as if thats an intended gameplay feature
funny how literally nobody cares about this
it’s intended, yeah but it also depends on the ammo count and the type
and as far as i’m aware, that belt doesn’t have a blowout rack on the inside to prevent that fire from killing the crew
it does and it doesnt, in my experience and limited testing all ammo types are random the same
but there are also british shells which are inert
its a halfassed gameplay feature… just like any other in this wretch of a game
exactly, bmpts have no blowout panels
i would expect those to become a 100% oneshot kill when they get enough money from paypigs
DEVS does not care… remember that :)
Thinking about it, does the autoloader just push the ammo upwards or does it keep the ammo in the conveyer/belt and the one below seperated until needed?
just wondering if the ammo destruction should be limited to the belt or if it should go throughout the entire hull
I am pretty sure the autoloader is just there to help push the belts up to the guns so they dont have to pull on the entire weight of the belt themselves.
So like honestly if the ammo belt is cut what should happen (if it doesn’t detonate and kill the tank) is that you should just be force to go through a short 10-20 second reloading process.
Also like… the fact that the BMPTs are just blatantly broken and should go up in br aside.
I would take some of the arguments made by some people here seriously if they were
A. Not single nation mains making the most outlandish takes that sometimes have nothing to do with the topic at all.
B. People posting gameplay clips of them trying to frontally fight the thing with MBT level protection in a vehicle that can barely survive 20mms on a good day. Like come on bro…
But thats kinda the point. Autocanon tanks are powerful, always have been always will be (at least most of them) but they usually trade that firepower and usually decent mobility for having next to no survivability (outside of buggyness from the shells just hitting nothing and doing no damage)
BMPT has all 3, Decent mobility, very powerful autocanons with ATGMs and better survivability than more than a few top tier MBTs.
So when a BMPT just charges around the corner… What else are you, or really can do in that split second?
