The Ki83 is a terrible aircraft, it needs to get buffed or moved down to 5.7

statshark and real scenarios aren’t compatible.

yes, i tested it out, and yes, your test shows that the ki83 is one of the slowest rank4 fighters. The Spitfire might be slower, but it is much more versatile (and in fact one of the best rank 4 fighters in the game)
THe Ki83 is a brick with little engine survivality and a huge fragile target, which gives it a very bad diving acceleration and compression. The Ki83 also has very bad guns, known for their late fuse action.

thats normal

How is it normal that a heavy fighter with self sealing fuel tanks has more fragility than a rank 1 biplane?

Which one though? the Merlins are a little slow, but the Griffons will give most planes a run for their money, for a minor cost of turn and climb rates.

The explosions are due to the lack of neutral gas pressurization, with out it a partially empty tank is just a fuel air explosive waiting for a spark to set it off.
I do think most airframes in game are far to fragile though.

ah ok lmao sorry

Went into a match with it, people do not at all know how to fight it.

These planes are designed for bomber shooting or ground strikes, stop trying to compete with single engines.

It has the highest climb rate of any prop in the game, and turns decently for a 2 engined plane, beating the hornet and f7f in a dogfight. if it didn’t overheat so quickly it would have been great but sadly it cant use its max engine power most of the time and that leaves it easy prey for single engined fighters if not played very carfeully

Using MEC you can almost entirely negate that.
