The problem is that the Ki-84 Ko has a significant advantage in simulator or realistic battles over all aircraft of its own and higher ratings. It has a climb rate of 17.9 and a turn time of 19.4, but it is completely invincible for opponents such as the F4U-4B (20.0, 19.0), P-51D-30 (20.0, 22.7), F8-F1B (19.0, 24.8), F8-F1 (19.0, 25.2), Yak-3U (18.0, 26.5), … This list can go on. In my opinion, the Ki-84 Ko’s combat rating should be increased to 6.3. Finally, do something about this imbalance. The Ki-84 Ko is gamebreaking.
the yak3u can take it on with its good speed retention
the f8f can also take it on depending on the players skill and the use of combat flaps
the p51 can set it on fire
and the f4u4b can do it with combat flaps
this is just prop compression and the YAK-3U can beat almost every prop in its tier its a post war prop its beyond OP at 5.7
This is some kind of AI nonsense. What’s the point of maintaining speed if the Ki-84 has already turned towards you?? Can the P-51 set it on fire?? That’s funny – you have to aim your own firestarter first. The flaps only make things worse. If you use them, the Ki-84 will turn towards you even faster.
i have used and spaded all the planes you mentioned they can defeat the ki 84
kinda depends if the KI84 has any alt on a F4U or F8F you have to run
true its like the xp50 of 5.7
true and sometimes they break their wings trying to chase
i do that to yak 3 pilots so much its hilarious i love props just wish they decompressed the brs
Struggling against Ki-84 while in the F4U-4B is a skill issue. You would think a guy with 9000 kills in it while in Sim would actually know the strengths of the plane…or know that battle ratings in Air RB are entirely different.
Even if we treat this as a sim thread…every one of the planes that OP says “can’t do anything” can absolutely do a lot of things. Saying that the Ki-84 is superior to even the Yak-3U should lend perspective on silly this point is.
Yak-3U actually beats Ki-84 in a dogfight if both are played to their max potential. But also Yak-3U just has superior flight performance in pretty much every metric outside of dive speed so it normally isn’t starting from equal energy state.
The only place OPs concern is valid is when simulator bracket has the 3.0-5.0 rotation. But considering OP is complaining about planes that are actually competitive or superior to it…yeah I’m gonna say skill issue.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Agree for air SB.
The Ki-84 and Spitfire Lf Mk IX should go to 5.7 to be with the F4U-4B.
I’d love to be able to play my 4.0 aircraft on 5.0 days without dealing with Ki-84s and Lf Mk IXs.
And
In SB, Yak-3u and F8F are 6.0 aircraft
