The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

yes. however i’m asking him as he wants to be a mastermind of a poll while also refusing the idea of polls

Yep. I just wrote my perspective on the matter. :)

What? What does this have to do with two groups? You would need one randomised group to get representative results.

If you haven’t noticed that the forum is used disproportionately for complaints I don’t know what to tell you. How many topics have you seen that go somewhere along the lines of “this game is working great and is a lot of fun!”? That’s not bad either, it’s largely their purpose and like that in almost every game. It’s just one of many ways in which a forum userbase can’t be representative of the playerbase as a whole.

Can you try writing in intelligible english?
You need a representative group for every poll. Quickly changing opinions and sways are an additional hardship for election polls, but they also have solid references (the elections) and decades of data to work with. We don’t have either for the userbase of this forum, and how representative the population of an individual topic is to the playerbase as a whole will likely heavily vary depending on the topic too.

Even if you can ask everyone there are additional factors that influence results. Framing of the question and answer options, for example.

Forums are used to complain.
Just look at how many complaining threads there are in comparison to threads praising the game.

Like yes…you are right. The question and options must be appropriately chosen. It is not enough to just ask whether to keep or remove, but it is also necessary to provide options for replacement if removal will have more votes.

a loud minority. feel free to check the polled peoples post histories

what do you expect from anyone playing this game? this idea is shared amongst steam reviews, redditors, the general playerbase in a sense that there is indeed a “love hate relationship” and the existence of such does not invalidate everything as you may think of

and clearly you don’t know the rule of past performance not being indicative of future results (you clearly change your argument where it suits you, first you trash on election polls, then where it suits you, you try to start supporting them)
also not addressing the biases as you indeed do act in bad faith.
any good faith user would address where they had a logical flaw, backtrack and actually fix their argument

pick your stance, keep it and don’t use bad faith nor other flaws like past performance biases or logical fallacies
i already told you that pre polls don’t happen, too. this clearly flied over your head and you’re still arguing as if this poll would be a pre poll
this isn’t “gaijin makes a poll to try to predict results of another poll made later in time with same questions”
your election poll idea is a false equivalency.

still no proof yet?

nothing new

USSR has more than enough good shit

why not give nato stuff of same tier not just haha funny mavericks u need a set range to be effective else it’ll shit itself

Yes, that describes the forum userbase pretty well.

Many people just play and have fun and are largely unseen here. Those that are frustrated/annoyed enough by something complain. It’s like that for most games, really.

These entire two paragraphs don’t make any sense. I don’t get what you think the logical flaw is. Please try to point it out in coherent english. Use some punctuation while you’re at it.

I am not arguing that this poll would be a “pre poll” (whatever that is, and whatever the problem with that would be I don’t know).
I am using election polling as an example for how hard it is to select a representative group of people to ask in the first place.

Dont ask me. I am in favor of replacing the Kh-38MT (even when I am USSR main).

So to sum up, the side claiming its real have produced nothing concrete and similarly the side claiming it doesnt exist haven’t produced anything more than speculation and conjecture based on marketing material changes and not anything concrete like a memo or meeting note discussing its cancellation or even planned cancellation. nearly 4300 total messages and y’all still manage to come back to square one.

we do have a pretty solid evidence of bigfoot existing tho.

so youre claiming that all of these people are creating posts that are all just about complaining. definetly not, you’re acting in bad faith.

ah the usual “i dont understand” non sense

and here comes the false equivalency, what would be done here is not election polling - were not creating a pre poll to try to guess what the results would be after another vote. were making one vote which in your idea would be the election itself. were not trying to guess the results of the vote by making a pre poll.
good non sense with your false claims and nonsense fallacies and attempted ad hominem
feel free to come back with evidence to support even your initial claim.
the access to what you need is infront your eyes, however it does not hold out to be true so good luck

If it weren’t for Spanish Avenger’s poll and “complaining” rank 7 stock tanks would still be slinging HEAT at tanks with 360° HEAT protection. This is why the forum exists, anyone who says “forum polls aren’t valid” are acting in bad faith.

How can you prove thing exist when there not even a single picture of it being on aircraft?

power of magic, alot of redbull and source: trust me bro

I said that people disproportionally come here to complain. That is in no shape or form even remotely synonymous with “people only complain”.
If you want an example of acting in bad faith try misconstruing what other people say.

So you can’t present your point in coherent and legible English? That’s a shame.

The discussion is about the current state of the poll. You specifically stated how representative it was of the playerbase as a whole with completely made up numbers for its margin of error. That line of reasoning came from you, not me.

Spoiler

I pointed out to you that the numbers you made up for that are complete bogus and used election polling as an example for the difficuluty of selecting representative groups since the general goal of election polling (figuring out the opinion of a large population based on polling results from a small group) is exactly the same.
