I do think SPEAR 3 even in their GPS/SAL and not GPS/SAL/IR would be good they would probably replace the brimstones but eh
And none of those are even close to 9.0.
Other nations needed equivalents to M247 years ago, but it’s still not being taken care of.

there are literally SAMs 0.3BR above it I dont know why you think its so good but I can guarantee you havent tried to stock grind it

but imma just point out that one of the SAMs 0.3 above it has optical contrast locking so can lock helis from much further than many other manpads
In spite of recent developments of making up ammo, there’s no reason it can’t get its proxy back and go back to where it needs to be.
This is the pandoras box Gaijin has opened. People are going to be beating them over the head about this for years until they address it.
There’s no defense against M247 as you can’t really see that it’s engaging you due to lack of trackers. You just fly around and all of a sudden you’re dead, which one nation is very privileged to have.
Germany is stuck with the Gepard until 9.7 and USSR only has piss poor Shilka until reaching another piss poor Shilka at 9.3.
And Type 93 lacks radar so M247 should still be more effective.
so your RWR (that most planes it sees has) isnt a defense? do you regularly just ignore it saying something is locking you?
if anything you should be complaining about the veak 40 which doesnt have tracers and at 7.7 sees a lot of planes without RWR
I think you are either underestimating how effective stingers and iglas can be or deliberately leaving them out
so? there are aa at much higher br without radar, are you saying that the type 81 is worse than the shilka?

The RWRs on a lot of the planes within matchmaking range of the M247 don’t detect the M247’s radar bands.
