The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

You can use proxy without FCS. It can’t be programmed, but you can use a standard proxy that fuzes after leaving the barrel.

could be this, no idea on the TV seeker though

Can we stay on topic and this isn’t the place for 1v1 etc, move it to DM’s if you want to debate the topic.

Just want to specify here;

Your first link is an outdated catalogue link from the manufacturer.

Your second link uses the first link, the info from the 2009 exhibition, and wikipedia as sources…

And as you mentionned, the third link mentions the proposed seekers basic function, but nothing else.

This is what I meant when I originally said all info about the Kh-38MT can effectively be traced back to brochures. If you actually follow the sources provided, the brochures, either on KTRV/ROE websites, or at MAKS are effectively all that literally every scrap of info regarding the Kh-38MT’s existence are sourced to.

Literally all “evidence” yet to be provided of the Kh-38MT’s existence are the promotional brochures, and the accompanying mockups.

It seems the more ppl try to prove its existence, the more they prove it likely never did.

Much appreciated for the much needed moderation. I understand this topic is devisive, and want to apoligize for any trouble it causes the mod team, but do believe it to be a very legitimate conversation for the community, and hopefully the devs to have.

there is basically no valid information about the missile, even in russian, i was grasping at the straws here tbh

i am pretty much convinced this missile does not exist, even if its body and seeker do exist separately

Thanks for taking a look on the russian side of things. I believe I was quite thorough in my research before I decided to make this topic, seeing as the “accusation” I was making was rather subtantial, and did check russian sources as well, but iirc you’ve mentionned you spoke russian, so you def have a leg up on that side of things. I appreciate you double checking my work. 🫡

the russian side doesn’t really add anything worthwhile, its mostly propaganda with no sources

Agree, the purpose of creating Kh38MT is not clear. For many reasons, AGM with IR guiding system mostly used for anti armored targets, but Kh38 have too much weight on its warhead for anti armor purpose. Makes its not worthed too much on its main purpose. i think its the main reason it could not equipped in russian military.

And by the way, if u wanna gaijin do something about this, you should creat an issue there :3

You know the thermal quality on other planes was the same as that before they changed it on the Su-30

No it was corrected on SU-30 to match the other aircraft. The thermal resolution needs to be set per vehicle on a weapon so this just bring it into line with the other KH-38MT carriers.

It was allready last week but okay…

So we may have a fake missile for Russia but, we cannot have a realistic armor for abrams or right brimstones, awesome

To be honest, KH38 is the only thing that makes ussr plane tree worth grinding.

Removing it is not an option.

We have actual fake jap planes (F16AJ?), fake ger tanks (E100, maus, tiger 105, panther 2) etc, this missile is much more real than those ever was

Thankfully gaijin will not remove it, so the only fun thing in top tier ru tree can stay

Instead of neutering ru planes, maybe consider tank only gamemode, so everybody can play with no cas problems?

E100 was partially built while the maus was built.

Maus and e100, maus still exists today and e100 hull is also real

I thought they only built the parts of the hull, no way they built the entire thing.
