Well this is a blog I guess? Nothing official, but what official document I did see on another site did agree with the introduction date.
I would like to ask the @Forum Moderators if anyone of them is online to pm so I can see if another link is okay, it’s not official I believe, but I’d rather ask them.
But regardless, I have been able to find 5 sources that all say it’s in service, perhaps in some limited capacity, but it is for sure being used.
Thats isnt a source, thats a blog rehashing the info from brochures, which is what literally ALL info I’ve found about the MTE is. Every single post, article, or blog mentionning the Kh-38MT references one of the markwtting brochures if you dig deep enough.
Its even using a picture of a mockup ffs. You cant ACTUALLY believe this is a legitimate source?!
If its on public government website, its not classified.
For example, I have an roe.ru source which has all mentions of the Kh-38MTE and any IR guidance option removed (the most up to date version of their website afaik): Х-38МЛЭ
I mean, if they wanna be carefull and wait, thats fine, but they shouldnt make claims until they can post the source of said claim. Thats just basic common sense.
I have a feeling what theyre gonna post isnt gonna be anything new though. Itll either be an old KTRV archived page, or an old ROE page. Maybe a brochure or an old news article mentionning its existence with a source pointing back toa brochure…
Nope, what i saw was relating to its current use in a current conflict, being troublesome for a certain region which was having troubles countering it.
if a government is releasing information to the public on one of their own websites by definition it cant be classified saying otherwise as an excuse to not post sources isnt “being cautious” its lying about having sources
