AIM-9L
Woops my bad.
Let’s assume it would have the same seeker coded like all other IRs at top tier with ~13km target lock range. With it’s M3.0+ speed and quantity it looks like a pretty decent weapon for 13.7 - 14.0 when we get to that BR of course.
@Morvran
Read above.
Then KH-38MT should also be 13.7/14.0.
There is no argument for KH-38MT to be the same BR as Brismtone 1 and AGM-65 slingers
Not really as it’s worse + you’d have 3x less the amount.
65D makes it’s appearance at 10.7 with 6 in total.
Brimstone starts from 12.3 with 15 in total.
38MT starts from 12.7 with 4 in total.
Right. So Su-25SM3 with 4x KH-38MT is a higher BR than the Tornado Gr4 with 15x Brimstone 1s shows just how unbelievably OP the KH-38MT is and why it should be a higher BR on the Su-34 and Su-30 which have none of the same weaknesses as the Su-25SM3 and in greater quantity. or given it was never built and is a total work of fiction. Just straight removed from the game.
If Soviet mains cant make the KH-38ML work, then its a skill issue
Arguably it’s more like the Ostwind II, which is kind of humorous since an argument can be made that the Ostwind II was gaijin’s new standard of realism after the removal of the panther II/KT 105/coellian.
The generic IR seeker’s performance was generated from overly generous secondary sources for the AGM-65A, and then chaining successive sources for the -65B, then 3x the range to reach what it is at the moment.
I’m working on a report that should at very least get them to reconsider their number(s) and change the Tracking range to fall into line with the following Technical report (CCD seeker have 3x the range of the -65B, and -65A half that of the -65B from assorted brochures).
10.7 in a flying brick that can easily get shot down if spaa isnt sleeping
Unlike unrealistic and fictional kh-38mt slingers that has unrealistic and zero logic seeker on a decent airframe, two decent airframe that cost less to spawn than spawning in F-15E with 65D
just answer us is 25x zoom gen 3 thermal(which when put in monitor resolution around 1080p) on a disposable battery WHILE the actual aircraft itself does not have any thermal TGP capability
and gen 3 thermal 25x zoom is not cheap at all. Totally reasonable, realistic and logical?
man can you stop being emotional over something that one nation has and had?
KH-38MT is not real so Russia CANT HAVE IT
BECAUSE ITS NOT REAL
Ho-Ri is the result of Gaijin standard at the time, now it changed, its always changing
F-16AJ is fake because Gaijin lazy and “F-2 not ready lah” but F-16 is a real plane
unlike 38MT which is totally unbalance and unrealistic
What you stated is Gaijin failured to balance this game and has been running for years and years and they never realized it or learned from it
And now they failed or intentionally ignore that kh-38mt is not real
That’s extremely interesting. The AGM-65G outlier got me wondering, and apparently it (ADA361645, WSEP 98-10, Hammer 45, Table 2.1.1, pg. 56) was launched in point track at a simulated building target made from stacked 40 ft cargo containers. The range groupings against tank type targets are all a lot closer together. I haven’t found any mention of these missiles being launched at the absolut maximum range they could get a lock at though, so that might make selling this a bit harder, but the generally achieved ranges are almost all way below what you can do in game, so it’s at the very least a good indication.
Would be great to see track lock range reductions according to this though. Even in the current environment that would force launching planes into the engagement envelope of almost every top tier SPAA, and after the patch at least reasonably close to the one of the new SPAAs.
I’m not emotional about this. I haven’t played Russian top tier in a while, I don’t find the lineup very appealing. What happens to the KH-38MT won’t impact me much. You seem to be pretty emotionally invested though, considering all the half sentences and caps lock. I’m just jogging the memory of people that forget what comparable or worse things we’ve had in the past a bit, it’s weird to get annoyed at that.
alr fair enough
but no im not emtional either
This just shows how incredibly compressed BRs in Ground are for planes, which is nothing surprising considering they had to squeeze 14.0 all the way down to 12.7 and only very recently to 13.0.
SM3 sharing the same BR as SU-34 for months perfectly showcases that.
In a perfect world SM3 and Gr4 should share the same BR.
@tripod2008
Would be nice to see nerfs to IR seekers across the board.
@MrBombastic8
AAs can’t shoot you down as 65Ds have more range than any of those at 10.7.
F-16A under Japan is fictional and should be removed.
That’s like giving China a Rafale or something.
Is Rafale real ? Yes.
Is Rafale under China real ? Don’t think so.
you failed to realized that beyond 10km 65D is practically useless and can get shot down right
and flying low in an A-10 isnt good either
climbing high can get spotted and 65D on A-10 is the same as the Vark or F-15/16
They can still get shot down
fair point but
is KH-38MT real?
i dont think so
well, you can compare it to a certain extend to the F-16aj imo, or the E100 as a better example
because the rocket itself exists the only thing that isnt real is the seeker itself
also a10a late doesnt have a targeting pod, good luck finding targets over 10km with 65d seeker
But your plane cannot. It basically has no counter from the ground at it’s BR.
That thing probably has more realistic parts than what F-16A under Japan has.
Good luck killing a plane at 9-10km with 10.7 AAs.
I will insert SU-30SM and SU-34 here
