F-2A would fit as its a 4.5th gen (same gen as rafale and ef2k) as well as having ground ability

Well, because the plane has nerfed Sparrows and broken AGM-65B. The plane is terrible and can safely be removed from the game.

Gaijin could implement a weapons upgrade maybe even a targetting pod due to it being moderately fictional as it is

if Kh-38MT is implemented despite being a mockup with no real data to date proving its existance other than a mockup + jpeg on a brochure, F-16AJ should get the same treatment

The F-16AJ has no weapons at all, its BR is already flying planes with FOX-3 and with targeting systems, this is a plane of error. It needs to be killed so that time is not wasted on its opening.

That’s the thing, the only person claiming that is you.

It’s that the performance delta gained by the addition of the Kh-83MT, over say the Kh-29T(E) / or -29D breaks balance, by not having a counterpart in any other Tech Tree, and even then there are few counterparts that would even come close. And as such would likely require the addition of some sort of guided Submunition dispenser (e.g. CBU-105) to even remotely approach any of the multitude of performance metrics in which the Kh-38MT has over other options.

The fact that it is also present on high performance airframes causes yet more issues. Considering it is so much better than literally everything else.

Because I can take a baseline airframe and restrict access to various stores and see how it performs, in order to make it meet particular criteria.

That is the point, none of the airframes equipt with the Kh-38MT, would decrease in BR if they did not have access to it, thus its removal across the board is not an issue since other members of the Kh-38 family will remain, it’s specifically only the F&F variants, and INS capabilities are still retained, so the same 6x launches in ~15 seconds can still occur, it’s just slightly less likely to kill everything it was fired at.

For some trees sure, but its not like the for example US tree lacks alternate options for any particular role & BR so it’s really not an issue of stores options, but more so overall airframe selection, the fact that Gaijin takes practically any opportunity to include exported variants in other trees doesn’t help their shear ubiquity, and diminishes their advantages since only player stats (not service date, nor capability) are taken into account.

Though of course many people would think the US is already fairly bloated and would complain if it picked up another 4x F-4s, 6x additional F-16s, another A-10, 4 more members of the Century series, 4x Saber derivatives, various assorted Light Attack options, 3 additional Hornets, a large number of jet bombers and more all to meet some arbitrary criteria of having options for all roles at every BR rung.

I meant ground combat. Its BR is 12.0, at the same BR there is a weak AV-8B+ with AIM-120A and 6 AGM-65D and also with a sighting system, but it is still useless since it has no speed and you are playing against Pantsir.

YaK-141 at least flew and exists IRL, unlike the F-16AJ.

I think Kh-38, Ostwind 2 and Zeroster should be removed if they are not real. Same with HEVT on beglietpanzer.

Also a mockup really isn’t enough to base a whole vehicle off of, that’s sort of the whole idea of this thread

Unlike Yak-141, the F-16AJ in-game is not even the same as in the Brochure - as such, I agree its fictional but also agree F-16AJ never existed in any form except a marketing paper.

Despite the fact that the Yak-141 did not reach mass production and was not put into service, flight prototypes already achieved high performance characteristics during tests - the aircraft even set several records. However, the available flight models did not carry military weapons, but only their mock-ups. Some of the sensors, including the radar, according to our information, were replaced during testing with such mock-ups, IRST was also not installed on the prototypes. The game, however, requires a combat aircraft with a complete set of on-board equipment and weapons, so we implemented them in the form in which the aircraft would most likely be put into service. For the game model, we installed a radar that was planned and existed at that time, as well as the IRST, standard for Soviet fighters. The Yak-141 is also equipped with countermeasures containers that are installed similar to other Soviet aircraft layout. *** We understand that in some ways this is a “paper” aircraft, however, all of its avionics actually existed and worked, as well as weapons.*** Regarding the R-73 missiles, their software implementation is still in progress, so it’s too early to talk about its introduction to the game, but in the future it may well appear in the Yak-141, same as the R-77 missiles, which were also designed as the main armament of this aircraft.*

I have complaints about Pantsir, because this SAM can intercept missiles. And I don’t like playing on the old Phantom of the 60s against the SAM from the future 2012. This SAM should be poisoned along with the Su-30 and SU-34 on 13.0. So that players on 11.7 do not encounter it.
