id say its the other way around, mat at least gets vids on new stuff out very quickly which is nice when im not gonna try stuff out on the dev server
stopped watching him after his horrendous take on the boycott situation we had a few years back. Absolutely no value in his channel
He’s easily the worst Warthunder CC.
Still waiting for a statement from the devs… Where are the sources?
never
Because there were never any sources, admitting so would humiliate them :)
Apparently all they have time for is “sanitizing” this thread, LMAO.
It’s literally been a week and thousands of posts. There is no reason they shouldn’t have a statement on the topic.
SM and MKI has way different avionics and compatibility
the MKI is developed for the Indian air force and use Israel/Western techs while the domestic SM is made for Russia only
due to the differences in avionics and technology the weapon compatibility of the two said aircraft are completely different
one could fire neighboring countries missiles while one stick to only domestic missiles
the MKI is way more expensive than a SM because of the avionics
the said avionics can be pair with either side
they wont address anything until its bigger than the boycott about last year ish ish
Forum Moderators need to wait for a response from gaijin before making any big updated on the missile, and gaijin themselves aren’t the ones watching the thread. Honestly, we have tended to get a bit far off topic, and i’ve heard that some of them are getting tired of putting up with it and the dumbass arguments people have been having here.
Them just blanket deleting hours of messages is definitely a surprise, but, honestly we should probably let the thread die down unless anyone has any new evidence, atleast until gaijin gives any word on this,
LOL
Apparently talking about Su-30SM and Kh-38MT in Kh-38MT thread is off-topic
They even deleted the stuff about resolution and all.
The devs themselves can, and have addressed topics themselves on the forum. There only reason to leave it to a middle man is to shift blame for bad reactions.
they wont ever address it im telling you
We are removing them as it is off-topic. Devs do not remove posts. As stated more than enough times, only info about the 38MT or things relating to it like seekers or similar looking parts should be posted
As I said above, and you talked about the targeting pod, which then devolved into more off-topic comments.
And yet I still see half the arguments about keeping it whether it’s found to real or not. And their only rationale is “balance reasons”. Yet we can’t be allowed to refute that?
The relevance is the fact that:
1- It’s a bit strange that Kh-38MT’s seeker resolution would be as good as Russia’s best targeting pod.
2- We were trying to explain why the devs would go for a questionable choice like Kh-38MT and whether that would have anything to do with balance etc
My explanation was the fact that some Kh-38MT carriers (Su-34 and Su-30SM) would lack thermal imaging otherwise.
3- The bit about A-10C was an example (to compare with Kh-38MT which was only seen as a mockup, yet added to the game) where the devs denied a weapon “because it wasn’t a live weapon but an inert one” even though it was mounted on a plane IRL.
So TBH I think it’s all related to the topic of Kh-38MT …
Have you submitted a bug report about it, some have done it in the past but without enough evidence
You need positive proof to bug report something … So unless there is evidence saying Kh-38MT doesn’t exist you can’t bug report it …
TBH, given the issues regarding Kh-38MT, and the fact that Su-30SM probably can’t self-lase for Kh-38ML either (At least I have not seen any evidence for it and the TGP manufacturer’s website only lists MiG-35, MiG-29M/M2 and Su-35 and doesn’t list Su-30), feels like it’s basically a work of fiction for the sake of balance.
While as someone who enjoys playing Russia I do understand the issues regarding balance, this is just not the way to go about it …
That whole thing about removing the R2Y2s for the sake of historical accuracy and then this …
This is the thing that stands out to me the most.
Why would Russia be spending so much money on high quality 3rd generation thermals with 25x zoom on a missile when they can’t even mass produce targeting pods with similar specs?
Not to mention that high resolution 3rd generation thermals require cooling. Where is the cooling system inside the Kh-38MT?
Oh damn that’s actually a big issue unless they just run coolant through the pylon and pray it doesn’t burn up en route to its target
