It can´t turn, it´s slow, it can´t climb, the weapons are meh, it has a strong engine but thats about it

pretty simple: because literally everything else climbs faster and shoots me down. sure, if i have all time in the world i can climb ,but usually when i hit maybe 3km, some enemy fighter is at 5km already, so yeah, it performs extremely bad at 5.7
Now do that in ARB and watch how the enemy fighters, like a yak or spitfire, or BF-109 etc. are at 5km while you barely reached 3km
J2M3 climb rate is pretty good for its BR and you being shot down is more of a personal issue with tactics than it is a plane problem

Oh, and LSR, when you do read this, it is very clear you aren’t experienced or don’t know what you are doing with the Japanese Navy Air Service aircraft.
J2Ms are good for medium-to-high-altitude interceptions. They are generally altitude/energy fighters. Not a turning fighter like an A6M or Imperial Japanese Army Air Force KI-43.
From what you clearly are doing is what’s depicted in this picture: trying to force a vertical without understanding how to stabilize when it starts climbing in Air Realistic. Really not hard; once the number starts dropping, you adjust slowly till it starts regaining speed.
They do this well too so not sure why people say this
Okay no, you’re doing something wrong. There are many fighters that have a similar climb rate to the J2M3, some have it oh so slightly better, but it’s still very good for its BR, and if there’s a whole 2km difference between you and them, it’s the way you climb that’s wrong.

I’m assuming he’s hard climbing at a 45-degree angle. Without even trying to tilt or bother checking if he’s gaining any speed while climbing

Most likely yeah. But then I’m curious to know why he raises the issue with the J2M3 specifically. He must have played other aircrafts before and none climbs well if you do it like that.
