Graphics changes/updates can never be finished, once it’s possible. they will update it without any hesitation.
The game looks great as it is now. Yes I agree to add some graphical features, like better aircraft deformation or destructions/ and better burn marks. yes. to be honest I’d love to see more and more detailed visual effects on the aircraft. the bullet holes still needs to be updated.
By that I mean (the bullet hole needs to be accurate. to be actually where it was shot at.
I play on max graphics.
The thing that gets me is the pop in.
Flying at about 2000m, you can see the circular line of trees pop in a few km’s ahead of you.
It’s really distracting, and as far as I can tell, there has never been a graphics update that has extended the range of detailed landscape objects.
i have the High Quality Texture pack 112 GB, and a run on Max custom Graphics all sliders to max and Super Sampling at x4, with a resolution of 5120 x 1440p
That’s 7,372,800 pixels of pure Sexiness, yes we need to look a the ground texture and some trees, but its still a beautiful game.
I would love more Graphical improvements to come, but they have to tailor to Consoles, RTX and Ray tracing is on my Wishlist, so here’s hoping!
You can adjust the tree rendering through the config files, but it takes a toll on your PC, better to use the in game sliders, and yes i agree with you on that, its slightly distracting, more noticeable in planes, feels like your in a 5k bubble of amazingness and everything else is a blur
I just want a better draw distance, thats the biggest limitation game looks great its pretty models are good. trying to spot things you should be able to see from 5-8km away and the game just wont render them
I Agree and Disagree, the game doesnt need more demanding graphics, a new engine or a huge jump in quality, what it really needs its an Art Department with a Color Grading Specialist that can make the game pop up and look more pleasing. Take for example Ace Combat 7, performs bettet than WT, the models look worst, the terrain is not much better but looks way better in terms of picture than WT. that would need a new Tonemap and LUT system probably.
The game looks pretty damned good with the higher settings
