What changes would you make?
That an aircraft in a full downtier can have an incredibly easy time dealing with a F-104. (at least for the BR difference you would expect it to be harder). And its a tech tree vehicle, so while you dont see it often, its not exactly rare.
im more commenting on the fact you dont need the worlds best aircraft to deal with a F-104. Offcourse if the F-104 does everything right you have to resort to other win conditions, but that is the case with a lot of one-trick ponies.
Me reffering to the flight performance of a G91 YS as being potent by the fact how the comment im responding to describes it as such and dedused by the fact it is at 9.0, so it has enough of that to be at that BR.

Fine by me if you want to dispute how the person i responded to described it. Again i dont have much to comment on the G91 YS as thats not really what my comment was about.
I played a few games with it during the Winter event - so that should hap push its performance towards a lower BR!!
This is a laugh. While the vautour CAN kill a F-104 and has the tools to ATTEMPT it, it is extremely far from “incredibly easy time”.

Correct, but you do NEED something with A. comparable speed or B. advanced missiles.
This undersells how extremely easy it is to “do everything right” in a plane such as the F-104 where the only rule is “don’t turn too long when trying to kill somebody” and thats it.
Idk what you’re trying to say, are you saying the G.91YS is BAD enough to be 9.0? because it’s not, are you saying it’s GOOD enough to be where it’s at now? because it also isn’t.

Aim-9B, Nords, or similar is nice, but not necessary.
Nah you just shoot at them. Honestly if the Vautour is paying attention the F-104 isn’t gonna have any free approach.

Nah i understand exactly enough to not consider the sighting of a F-104 as not much of a threat and more of an annoyance.
I’m not sure why this thread has been necro’d but it’s going in circles.
Keep faster on F104A basically takes no skill.
G.91YS needs to be 9.3 and the Y needs to be 9.0 if they aren’t going to decompress
