Please read the news: Each flag represents the nation of the pilot in service with the RAF during the Battle of Britain, collectively known as “The Few”. (Great Britain, Austria, Australia, Ireland, Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador, South Africa, Jamaica, Poland, Barbados, Belgium, USA, New Zealand, France, Czechoslovakia, Southern Rhodesia).
One famous Irish pilot in the BoB is Paddy Finucane, whose profile icon we have in the game:
I don’t know if you are joking or not, but just in case: the “Few” are the Royal Air Force and allied pilots, as opposed to the “Many”, which are the British population (and even the free world).
The RAF had actually more pilots available during this battle than the Luftwaffe.
Really? Every year it is the same discriminatory propaganda. Like I asked last year, did the British solely fight themselves in this “battle”? There is still nothing for the Germans or Italians in this one sided thing. How hard is it to offer a special aircraft or decal for the other participants?
That is precisely their attitude toward anything German. If anything, offering a German/Italian pack (ex: Bf 109 E-7, E-7/Z, E-7/U2, E-8, Bf 110 E-series, KG 2’s Do 17 Z-2, He 111 P-series, Ju 86 P-series, CR.42 DB, etc) would attract a lot more people, get a bunch more to open up their wallets, & does not take anything away from the british…
Good event offer, but Prendergast’s Spitfire, as a 414 RCAF Squadron plane should really be using the WW2 Canadian flag on its stat cards (as does for instance, Lanovski’s P-47, similarly). Link here if people want to support the bug report on this: Community Bug Reporting System
Battle of Britain day is a UK commemorative day marking the RAFs victory in the battle.
There are other events throughout the year with German / Italian centered specials. This one is focused on Britian (and the other nations pilots of the RAF) as it’s a British commemoration day:
“Battle of Britain Day, 15 September, is now an annual commemoration of the battle in the United Kingdom.”
