The failure of 9.7 and below helicopters

Helis are just ignored and only useful in help pve, which gaijin also ignore cuz they say it’s niche and people don’t play it. And people won’t play it as long as it’s rubbish

Non issue, lol

The ONLY trully dangerous SPAA for heli’s on that BR range is Rapier, change my mind.

300sp, 3 times of tonk

Suck but low SP will ya?

Always feasible to pull out to suppress and return

Team should be able to dodge or smoke to some extent which they will do to other tanks. This is what T-6-1 is for.

We aren’t debating for skills. We are explaining fact and stats, things that has already happened. Helis’ stats, SPAA reward complaints showing absence of fixed wings, etc.

Calling it dodgable and just pull won’t make it dodgable or pullable. Just drive out of bomb range / LOS would be of the same logic but better at explaining facts here lol.

Spent few hours in sim to get a2g loadout for f111f just to realize I get uptiered all the time to pantsirs and other modern stuff. And rwr is like from dinosaurs age. Feels like wasted time considering I have night attack harrier and f15e which face same opponents as f111f but have better rwr, target pods and weaponry. And dont have a size of empire battleship from starwars.

Rapier, roland, lvrbv 701 and stinger/igla carriers which now lock helis even from 4-5km.

Does not worth it at all since the addition of irst target lock for mbts and light tanks. They have to die like 20 times to my PUMA on average before they managed to kill it one time lol

Except you aren’t hitting anyone that isn’t hovering.

Smoking or dodging enemy tanks is a completely different story to doing the same to something 3km away you can’t hear nor see more than 10 pixels of.

Perfect bomb toss can’t be dodged, unlike perfect burst from an AA 3km away which is done by slightly steering in a different direction. Bombs are equivalent to HE-VT ammo from AAs, you might dodge the projectile itself but proximity explosion will still kill you.

Nah, they are still bad and works only around 2-2.5 km for helis.

You can test it in test drive. I locked heli from 4km, farthest point possible on test drive map:

Wouldnt do such claims if I didnt encounter this in battles (locked ka50s and hinds from 5km on lav ad).

Lies. Quote: stats. afaik no more than 10% of people hover lol

Try with lead of indicated lead harder?

Back to:

Got ya!

Brake harder. Route better.

As long as Just pull statements are valid, Just drive is also if not more valid. Planes don’t even have lead indication nor turret traverse, for lower gepard BRs even no ccip lol

Nerfed.

Make all my bombs prenerf fab5000 before stating this.

Oh and, I need to do this again

Or you could just
Not be a suicidal maniac and bumrush ground vehicles with a vehicle absolutely not designed for such an engagement?

Helicopters are not designed to get that close to literally anything.
They’re too slow and unmanouverable for rocket rushing.

Also, survivable Helis being able to rocket rush is absolute cancer, or have you forgotten Ka-50/52 rocket rushing?

They are already low sp for the rocket load outs. You hardly have to do anything to get them.

Did they change it recently. I have never locked a heli past maybe 2.7km with stingers.

I assume its silent change similar to how they nerfed spikes and made them unable to lock scout drones. No patch notes, no news, nothing.

IIRC you can indirectly lock them from further away by shooting off hydras towards helis and having the stinger launch on the hydras.

This works too but its only restricted to lav ad.

They have wildy different heat signatures (9.7 helicopters and ka 52/ mi24)
It’s the same with how you can lock early jets from 2-4 km but something like an EF-2000 at 8 km

Test drive heli can also be locked from that range. Its scout ah1 iirc. Posted image above.

AH-6M was specifically made to helirush, hello.

That’s why there is no IRCM nor flares on it.

You got that information from ?

Lead indicator shows you where to shoot to hit a target only if it doesn’t change his current angle of direction. You can lead “harder” but that won’t account for any unexpected move that happened while rounds were in the air. This is why even slightly maneuvering jets are hard to hit past 3-4km even for HE-VT ammo, as you’re shooting at a “ghost” target that supposedly should’ve been there in the next 3-4s but it didn’t, due to the ever changing flight path.

So people should constantly spam that command and pop smoke immediately ?

No it isn’t as bombs don’t need a impact into a tank directly to kill it, unlike conventional AA ammo.

Still in the game and still killing people.
Bombs act as HE-VT ammo for AAs and we all know how good HE-VT is against aircraft at that BR.
