This would literally only apply to the MiG-21F-13 and its derivatives at 9.3. Every single other MiG-21 in game just has a purely better no downsides FM to the F3H-2 including the MiG-21S as low as 9.7 being far superior

Jets at this BR do not receive energy advantages by being higher up. You are either fighting subsonics which reach their max speed on the deck and you cant catch them by just diving on them in what is also basically a subsonic jet, or you are fighting supersonics which can catch you even if you were at 10km altitude by just climbing straight for you in a beeline. Being high just gives you positioning if anything, and in this case your positioning is causing you to run directly into AIM-7s so you should re-think it.
You are allowed to not climb up the middle of the map directly into them.
Only time i do that is basically when i am in a down tier in the f4e or mig25.
Not flying high or straight at f3h2 helps a lot btw
