The F16AJ is at 12.7 the same but as the f15A variants and all it gets to compensate it is 2 aim7F’s which are useless at its br

Better idea, put the F-15s back to 13.0 where they belong and decompress the game rather then making it worse.

It definitely shouldn’t move down, if anything the F-15 needs to move up, but I’m still skeptical about that. With the meta being the way it is, I can see both of them sharing a BR.

The missile loadout is worse, but not as much as it seems. AIM-7Fs and Ms are identical, in terms of performance, so all the F-16 really loses is two of them (At a BR where non-ER Fox 1s are of questionable utility anyways).

And AIM-9Ls have the exact same kinematics as AIM-9Ms. I won’t downplay the advantages of IRCCM (When it consents to work) and a smokeless motor, but this isn’t some R-73 vs R60M comparison.

Even with the noticable disadvantages in missile loadout, the F-16AJ is far from helpless. You have one of the best dogfighting platforms in the entire game. That’s not nothing. It’s not just an offensive advantage too, it means it’s easier to notch, easier to multipath, easier to swing the nose back in and get a shot off.

And that’s all on top of the ability to just full send it after anything that isn’t another Block 10 F-16 or Gripen (Since the F-2s are on your team 90% of the time), knowing you’ll win the fight every time.

Admittedly, I haven’t taken my F-16AJ out for a spin in a while. Burnt out enough from spading the F-15J. Might do so depending on how this thread goes.

f16AJ is not on par with the f15a?
Double the fox 1, 4 x the CM count, AAM3/ 9M vs 9L… stretching it a little

13.3 MLU and the f16C are the only f16s that are worth playing in the game- rest are cope bus

f16AJ is pretty useless in the bigger picture. As it wasnt real and japan would only purchase if it got the extra sparrows, thats, IMO what it should get.

and then you move it up so it doesn’t nuke lower planes

repeat until relative balance is achieved
