those wretched things ought to be 14.0 with how they act
Yep, it’s blatantly OP which I and many others warned them about.
The American tech tree has the most amount of under-BR’d vehicles in the game.
95% of all under tiered vehicles are caused by compression
if they ever adress compression in this game we would have less under tiered vehicles as the F15A cannot cope with a 14.0 JAS39E
Could be the result of decompression that moved the Wallet Warriors away from Top Tier.
Look up the stats on the Click Bait and M1A2 SEP - they’ve been rising in the exact same manner
This also overlaps with their win rate graphs
Clearly the decompression helped a lot both BR’s since they didn’t recieve OP CAS like Russia did to boost them.
why does he speak truth :D
February

K/S Gap: 0.18
January

K/S Gap: 0.17
Now this is not exactly close to the 0.3 K/S Gap of December, but M1A2T has stabilized a almost 0.2 K/S gap above its US counterparts, for now. The stat argument is not null, and F-15A moving down was stupid. Decompression > Recompression.
The gap will continue to shrink as more average players grind China and use the M1A2T, averaging its stats from FOTM driven players, until you end up with a dwarf argument.
I’ve came to peace with the fact Gaijin simply prefers recompression for the most part, unless there’s new mechanics or advanced tech compressing a specific BR range. And honestly, they’ll only decompress the 12.7-13.7 zone when 15.3 arrives, they won’t move the Su-30s immediately when 15.0 comes, Gaijin will milk their Su-30s for another major and at least a sale each, that’s for granted.
Moving the F-15A to 12.7 was only a “stupid” call within the realm of this forum. The reality is, even DEFYN, the most fierceful and passionate advocate of the F-15A being a strong, competitive plane at one point even gave up on that silly argument and conceded that 12.7 may be at least an interesting BR given its strengths and weaknesses when put against the current 13.0/13.3 meta.
We shall see :)
I’ll go ask.
And people are STILL complaining that it’s too high:
I hope he was trolling, but I don’t wanna hold my breath on that.
I’d frame it this way. In a vacuum, it’s a mistake. Outside of the vacuum, in it’s proper context, it’s still a mistake, but it’s a far less pressing one than the current series of mistakes that are ruining that BR bracket (IE ARH missile spam).
To put it another way, breaking down a door with an axe is a problem (You’re going to have to replace it at some point), but when the building’s currently on fire, there are far more important things to be worried about.
It’s not viable in DOWNtiers
And I agree, I historically advocated for decompression for the most part, even when the F-15A was seriously struggling to perform as good as its peers at 13.0. But december’s update made me change my mind kind of radically around Gaijin simply not caring at all about the health of their BR brackets, both on the BMPT problem and the premium Su-30s (first in Nov. w/Su-30MK2, then in xmas with the MKK).
Therefore, it is also logical and common sense enough to point out at the early ARH gap at 13.3 that causes planes like the Mirage 4000 and the F-15A to underperform significantly, which already led the eagle to go at 12.7.
Now, should the M4K go to 12.7 too? Under my logic, absolutely. If I wouldn’t propose it, I’d be a hypocrite. But it’s clear from the get go that recompression itself isn’t the source of the fire here. I didn’t started the fire by mentioning it, the entire 12.7/13.7 bracket was already burning for long time before this change in particular.
While I freely acknowledge that solving these problems aren’t in Gaijin’s current interests (Clearly, based on the fact that they only do it when they have no other choice), that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop advocating for it. It’s only because our voices are unheard that Gaijin doesn’t feel compelled to do this, so I’m not going to shut up until it becomes loud enough that Gaijin has no alternative but to listen.
You misunderstand my metaphor, the fire was always the ruinous meta of ARH spammers that results in the only thing affects how well planes do at this BR is how well they can handle ARH spam.
Once that fire is put out (IE, pretty much every ARH slinger gets a 0.3-0.7 BR increase), then the F-15 has to go back to where it was. Without ARHs controlling the meta, it is definitively stronger than other 12.7s like the F-16AJ, MiG-29, etc.
I was about to be snarky and all but you’ve provided reasonable arguments and structured logic. I commend it.
I would argue that our voice is the pressure required to force the Gaijin to improve the situation. I understand that premium Su-30’s are unlikely to go up in the April BR changes but we have to start the work early.
PS: here’s a trick question: look up F-16A stats - do you think this thing should go down to 12.0 given how badly it performs and now that we will have a useless French analogue?
F16a moved down had the same effect.
F18a at 12.3 the same.
People demanded the mig29 go to 12.3 etc etc.
They’ve slowly been recompressing for the past 7 months or so.
J35XS is absolutely dominant at It’s bracket now.
You’ve got the F5C which should of stayed where it was when the original BR changes came through.
Now weve got the objectively best 12.7 being the F15A now.
With the excuse there’s stuff like the Su30 premium.
Which should not be at 13.3 , the same BR as the objectively worse mig29SMT.
Gaijin are ham handedly destroying most brackets near that top tier area.
Ground still beyond compressed as well.
We need, and it’s not even funny now, a full overhaul of the BR system or a massive push for more ranks in both air and ground, rank 9 makes no difference if planes are atill 14.7.
The majority of 13.7s cannot contend with even the 14.3s which are in game.
Rant over but this is just stupid now, you’ve got the F15A woth 4 x IRCCM missiles which are decent, a good radar, 4 x average SARH missiles and a banger of an FM sitting at 12.7, the same. BR as say a mirage 2000 which has a worse radar in my experience.
2 ircmm missiles and 2 sarh missiles.
As well as half as many CMs.
They just might due to the amount they’ve been spammed
I mostly agree but
Eeeeeeeehhhhhhh…F-15A radar is, from my experience, closer to N001VE levels of bad rather than F-18C early levels of good.
Which is a massive issue since with N001VE you dont have to rely on hardlocking.
Sure it beats having HDN PD radar but god do i often fight the F-15A radar more than the enemies.
Yeah F-15A radar is bad.
Not only it does not have TWS mode it also loses track easily to chaff and against the ground. The TWS lock mode is of questionable use.
The only good side is that it has SRC PDV HDN that sees targets at the start of the match regardless of distance and allows to position yourself properly.
Nah not with r27er and r73.
Mig29 with those 2 weapons should be at 13.0 definitely.
R-27er is actually such leagues ahead of sparrow it’s not even funny.
R27r standard is some buns though, feel almost as bad as sparrows, though slightly better still
