Exactly that. That is why people think the US a babied.
F-15C is barely behind the Typhoon and Rafale in terms of performance.
Prior to the F-15C being added, the US mains were saying the Typhoon should be added with the F-15C MISP II. Afterwards, it was the F-18E or F-22.
Quite frankly. F-18 should have come alongside aircraft like the Su-27SM and Tornado F3 late and the F-15C should have come alongside the Typhoon and Rafale.
Except in BVR combat where, at the moment, it has more CMs (due to BOL modeling), better radar (due to the lack of CAPTOR-M) and more ARH missiles. All while having the same climb rate and top speed.
F15-C climbs slower than eurofighter as far as i know and the eurofighter runs circles around the F15C in a gun fight/ missile fight and BVR is only area it can compete and the reason its slower is cause of the OP canards it has which add a lot of drag but generate lots of lift and it has a higher thrust to weight
Given the meta is BVR combat. I dont think that is necessarily an issue.
I made the Tornado F3 vs F-16s and Mig-29s work somehow for an entire year, I think F-15C being the same BR as the Typhoon would be fine. At least until the Typhoon gets its IRL performance (radar, FM, CM, etc)
First pull with the strongest missiles at it’s BR is in fact a very good thing to rely on.
I never said anything about my friend doing cobras either, you pulled that out of nowhere.
The MiG-29 easily has the best thrust to weight at it’s battle rating, it should be just fine regaining speed if you do botch your angle.
Sea Harrier its a pain in the ass once you need dogfight. It’s supposed to be very maneuverable and it’s a real brick, I don’t understand how the previous versions and the American versions are much better at that. You need the radius and time of a Mig-25 for do a tight turn
F-16C, Rafale, EF-2000, F-15E, I and MSIP, Rafale, SU-30, Grippen C, F/A-18C Late. All can stay in the same BR
They could all be in the same BR, maybe a little less the Grippen with the Dart, even so with it I have not had problems fighting with the others mentioned
For me they are all formidable
This all stems down to BR compression, and gaijin’s solution of gradually pushing a few things up a step isn’t cutting it. If I were in charge of things I would straight up double the BRs. The top tier planes wouldn’t be 14.0 they’d be 28.0. Just keep everything where it is proportionally to now, but keep the +/- 1.0 matchmaking. This effectively halves the matchmaking bracket size compared to before, so the power gap between full up-tiers and down-tiers won’t be so extreme. We’d also have more granularity for giving planes smaller nerfs/buffs in BR placement.
What? Not a single MiG-29 has the strongest missiles at their BR.
Obviously I didn’t literally mean he is doing cobras? I mean what you describe will cause him to lose all speed and immediately lose the dogfight if you happen to avoid his first missile.
1… no it doesn’t… get a clue
2. even if this were true, the 29 has massive FM problems that keep it from performing well in this department.
That is by far the single best SARH missile in the game and holds its own even against ARH missiles. The R-27ET isnt too shabby either if used right.
The only real thing even slightly mitigating it at 12.7 is the fact the Mig-29 can only carry 2 and has a poor radar for the BR. If it had a great radar and could carry at least 4, i doubt they’d have done the R-73 swap at launch (And really should get that swap back now)
