only buff it need right now is more counter measures as its a very hot plane because of the TF30 engines
which makes it hard to flare 60 CM is not enough especially considering there all small countermeasures
The engines arent the problem. its how the game handles IR signatures. its entirely based upon thrust. The F-14 also may have some unknown variable that makes it rather hot, but you also have other really hot aircraft like all the Harriers which dont even have AB but are genereally considered the “hottest” aircraft in game.
Also, they have standard calibre flares. which are identical accross all aircraft.
You do also get large calibre which is semi common around that BR but you also have BOL which are modeled to be (ahistorically) nano-CMs. But thats all the types of CMs in game at the moment
If it can get more CMs then it should, and that will need a report, but otherwise, there isnt much that can be done for the F-14A.
Ultimately the F-14s biggest issue is one of compression, it cannot go down with ARH due to the lack of performance in those below (and the poor performance of most in premium aircraft) and bad map design, the valley of death style of ARB is the perfect killing field for it. Wider maps would help mitigate the performance of all ARH missiles.
China suffers quite a bit from incorrect modelling/lack of care put towards vehicles(ztz99 spall liners for example). It unfortunately isn’t just a nato thing.
I think aircraft like the F-18 and F-16 really dont belong at 12.3 and should be 12.7. Also the F-15C should probably be 14.0. US vehicles do seem to be generally a lower BR than they would be in other trees (B-26 is a great example of that, being 0.3 higher in the French Tree)
But the F-14A… its in a tricky place, though I do think talk of lowering it at all shows a certain degree of lack of understanding ,especially when it already gets the exclusive buff of not being 13.0. Its really hard to justfiy something like the Sea Harrier FA2 being 13.0 with the F-14A at 12.7

F-15C is barely behind the Typhoon and Rafale in terms of performance.
Prior to the F-15C being added, the US mains were saying the Typhoon should be added with the F-15C MISP II. Afterwards, it was the F-18E or F-22.
Quite frankly. F-18 should have come alongside aircraft like the Su-27SM and Tornado F3 late and the F-15C should have come alongside the Typhoon and Rafale.
