Trying to do the naval event in naval rb is really annoying.
Most of my matches are with players who just want to do PvE and get mad when i target them. I end up with “teammates” telling the enemy which ship i am and to focus on me.
filling the teams with ai was a mistake that made the sim exploits viable in naval.
The AI is absolutely necessary as no one plays Naval enough.
Your issue is with the… culture… of some people on the SA server. Not Naval itself. Play another server if you can. I never have any problem with teammates giving me away or player enemies getting “mad” at me for targeting them. Not on the NA, EU nor CIS servers which I have selected at all times.
Them needing to have matches be 90% bots just to get a game is a different issue.
I did say SA server. But this is also not something i ran into until recently. PvE was not a viable thing when most of the ships were players. They need to at least greatly lower the points you get for ai.
I try to sometimes but having near constant 300+ping is not very fun.

And yes, the fact they need to fill the teams with so many bots is a separate issue. I wish they could solve that issue without making bot matches though.
Bots’ performance is better than average players in naval battles, especially at long-range shooting, so there is no problem to trade Bots as real players, for PVE., if they report your position, you can just report them and let Gaijin ban them. Do not confuse PVE with BOTs on SA servers.
In hitting, yes. Though they usually just sling secondary HE which doesnt do too much.
I wouldnt mind the bots as much if they didnt give so much score that it made it viable for people to attempt enforcing PvE.
They should put some focus on improving the naval experience so they can revert the bot populations
For DDs, HE is hurt as well; and sometimes it is more dangerous than SAP/AP.
It depends on the Bots’ performance, as I said. Since Bots’ performance is close to that of normal players, there is no reason to drop Bots’ score, if you want to complain about players’ behaviors, then you can just report to Gaijin.
I believe adding bots and increasing the reward for killing bots is one of the best ways to make naval battles attractive
Yeah, for the lower brs that is fine.
In battleships, 95% of the match is getting pelted by the HE which you can just shrug off for the while match.
If they had them use AP more then maybe it wont be as bad.
That will be too terrible, due to the Bots aim pretty well, last time I even see a bot using SAP killed a Yamoto from 13km, if bots have AP, then Bots will easily kill all the players
What pisses me off with the bots is that they are acting like bots, and not like humans. They will sometimes do crazy bullcrap that neither a human nor the vessel they are controlling are capable of, such as stopping on a dime, reversing, then immediately going forward, back and forth.
Or the solution on them won’t change for 2, 3, even 4 cycles of computation and then suddenly the solution goes from, let’s say 8.49 and you’re right on the carrot to 7.89 and you’re far ahead of the carrot. It’s ridiculous.

If they are stuck using only HE, then they wont do much.
The only they do that sucks it breal my barrels. Outside of that, i just sit there the whole match and maybe die from a lucky shot once every dozen games or so.
Yep, once you aim them, they will randomly change their speed and suddenly turn, but due to they are bots, they will always lock on you
That or how you can be hitting a bot for a minute then a player loads in and that bot disappears so you time was wasted.
And don’t forgot the fire and kill steal. The other crazy thing is that AI will trying to steal all of your kills when you shoot the target for over 5 minutes until it leaves 1% crew, if Bots us AP, this situation could be worse.
That could be solved by them not making 95% of the score locked behind the final blow.

Yes this also pisses me off.
Naval scoring doesn’t reward anything except kill. You can have thousands of damage dealt, numerous assists, and make less than 1000 points. Conversely, the guy on your team who has been finishing up all the damaged enemies can have less damage dealt than you, no assists but will have 3 vulture kills and easily have 1500+ points from it.
It’s insane. Even capping is only 200 points for full cap credit. That’s 100 less than ground rb!
Acknowledging the importance of damage dealt is perhaps the 1 thing That Other Game does better than Gaijin does.

I play USA server 99% of the time anyway. If you have a good ISP there is no packet loss and your ping is 210-220, which is absolutely fine for this game.
Allegedly he gets bad ping.
Yeah, I wonder what country he is from for 300+ to USA. Might be ISP issues.
