The event grind in the SA server is not fun

May well be his local internet infrastructure is not up to date/maintained well.

I do. For the other servers, its a min of 200ping. But averages around 250 for them.

250 should be fine…

Its workable for battleships but kind of ruins coastal

This isn’t Counter Strike. 250 is fine. Especially with how they’ve set everything up.

If you’re an Aussie - switching to a GSL provider (Launtel, AussieBB, and so on) will give you best pings.

Im in Japan

I play with 210-220 ping by choice in every mode - ground / sea / air. Playing coastal for this event. I don’t think ping matters as much in this game as you’re making out.

However, what you can do is install wireshark on your machine. Then when you’re playing on US server you can extract the IP for the US game server. Once you have that you can do tracerts and see if the route your taking to the US server is ideal. If you have any issues you can send those tracerts to your ISP and they’ll take a look at it (if they’re a good ISP that is worth your money).

Obviously, the ideal circumstance is more people would play on SA server and more people would play naval - but you have a higher chance of getting an ideal route to US server than Gaijin ever has with making naval work in this game, lol.

I dont know if it is ping then. The ships will sometimes float up then go back. I only have this with non SA servers.

True. Maybe would help if they didnt flip how damage works every 6 months. Sometimes HE is very weak, sometimes they have 152mm HE one shot battleships

Agreed. I like playing Akizuki and depending on the patch it either nukes or does nothing to enemies.

If you want fun then go to NA, EU, CIS ppl will never get mad at you. This is warthunder so 200-300ms is fine to have fun their. Ppl play in SA have to queue more than 5 min not to die after another 5 min in the match. They want to grind and chill normally then why you dont want? Since there are ppl like you so that why they made a culture to gang on whoever shoot their teammates. I telling you this because SA server helped me grinded out 3 naval tech tree which is painful to play in NA or EU

Me doing PvP in a PvP gamemode is not the problem.

I think you should first consider playing in other servers; from a personal experience I had no much performance difference either in connection or just gameplay differences between servers, then you should consider what battle rating it’s better for you. I’m not the most patient person so I prefer going into random match instead of Enduring Confrontation from what I could understand, you can also consider the game mode, as a not the best naval player, I could get some numbers from random matches, something I might not be able to do in a Enduring Confrontation battle.

ngl, this sounds pretty pathetic. Farming bots to grind up naval? lol

Yeah. But right now, they are focusing on the event. One of my last matches had a dude insulting the other guy for killing him.

When i told him to expect PvP in a PvP gamemode, he said to go play the other servers because they are trying to grind the event quickly via PvE.

PVE culture always been a thing before even bot rewards were increased.

The root reason is because battleship fighting gives less rewards, and that the balancing is horrible. If you’re uptiered in battleships there’s not much you can do other than fighting PVE bots.

Yeah, I’d still shoot them. Naval event is not even hard. 2x modifier in RB. I get it done quickly using coastal vessels. Did first star with Pr. 206 and BM-21 boat. Might do Japanese coastal for next star.

Pr 206 is the most OP boat that isn’t a wrongly placed destroyer (cough aminens), no wonder you find it issue.
