The OTOMATIC is 11.3 cause people will continue to play it as a TD with its pen and fire rate, its just an unfortunate side effect of playing an SPAA which can multirole effectively. If the type 81 could do AT roles it would easily be 12.0 by gaijins logic where as the 2S6 will continue to go down in BR even though its a good TD and SPAA because that is their favorite SPAA lol
Didn’t think about that. You’re right.
2S38: a light tank that is also used as a SPAA
Gaijin: “lower it to 10.3!”
OTOMATIC: considered the second worst top tier SPAA and has been the subject of multiple lower BR threads, sometimes used as a Light Tank to defend themselves since they literally have nothing.
Gaijin: “12.0 next update!”
At present, in testing, the Elde 98 cannot engage aircraft sub 6km, cannot detect aircraft at even slight elevations to slave the missile to, cannot loose a missile without slaving it to the radar, and cannot hit a target through basic maneuvers.
This thing should not have been added, we would have been better off with the RBS 23.
not really tho. its worse then some 11.0
yea? like what lol
The dude is on some next level copium. Like yeah it shouldn’t be the same br as the SLM and new Tan Sam (I will refrain from judging the Slamraam, Spyder and CS/SA5 until they are less WIP), but 11.0 is wild.
My dude there is only a single 11.0 spaa in game.
swedish mains… smh
otomatic is goated what are you on 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀
I’m a little surprised it was accepted. Usually the ‘warhead weight’ is the explosive+frag shell, and gaijin only takes the explosive mass into account.
Is the seeker sound supposed to be playing all the time?
It’s really, really annoying.
Even when there are no targets, it still beeps away and I can’t seem to make it stop
it is intended so that you do not have to wait 15-20 seconds until launch
So that happens to be caused by the fact that the IRIS-T’s seeker does not actually turn off, its always searching on dev. While annoying it does mean that you never have to wait to spin up your seeker to launch, its always ready.
Should be a straightforward fix to make it silent though.
It wasn’t doing this before and I could use them instantly on the test drive.
It should be a fairly easy fix to disable the seeking sound for these vehicles, as leaving it like that is unacceptable.
Yeah, I really hope they fix it and don’t just leave it.
It’s legitimately going to give me a migraine.
The Slam-raam and Spyder seem fairly on par compared to the IRIS system Germany is getting, but what exactly about the Type 81 Tan-Sam combo makes it on par with them exactly, considering it’s missiles have a smaller kinematic range and have a reload between the first and second half of their missile batteries-
I’m fairly sure the EldE 98 is the same or better (should everything be fixed) as the Tan-Sam in this case and both maybe not as capable compared to the Iris-SLM from Germany, or the C-5 spam-raam from America, or the Python 5 shotgun of the Spyder
it doesnt need the radar to survive
Okay but, that’s hardly a great advantage when the missiles worse performance increases the chance of said radar dying-
At least with the EldE, it’s all in one piece of kit.
It can technically mad dog it’s radar missiles against really sneaky targets that are playing hard to get. It’s not a massive thing, but it’s at least a interesting gimmick.
The Slamraam and Spyder look really underwhelming, their long range missiles will just be incredibly easy to dodge , SLM is still having some massive issues, EldE is suffering from the other spaa not moving to 12.3 and CS/SA5 missiles seem underwhelming. So not much to be excited about besides interesting details/the gimmick that the Tan Sam has.
