The Dev Server is Opening with Major Update “Sky Odyssey”! — 04.09.2026

I want to know based on what sources it was reduced to 1M. If the sources they used to make it 1.4M was false it doesnt mean Rafale cant drop hammers at supersonic speeds. And I also want to know how its balanced compared to Kh38 or eurofighters in general in grb. I know how to read.

Thx for valuable advice of a 0.36 K/S console enjoyer. Btw, congratulations on rising it from your all-time 0.27 K/S/. It sounds really wise, gonna definitely try this out next time.

yeah but the default that we assume is that that kind of weaponry cannot be dropped past 1M and it would only be increased if there is a source that states it was designed in such a way that allowed it to be

so you complain about the Hammer being to slow in the same sentence where you complain that the EF is OP in GRB

the same EFs that at best get the Spice-250 which is a subsonic glide bomb

@Smin1080p_WT good mornin dev server being updated today?

Hello.

This is explained within the changelog:

  • AASM Hammer bombs (all versions) — the maximum release speed has been set to Mach 1. Following a thorough review of the materials used to justify increasing the release speed to Mach 1.4, it was determined that the provided information was falsified. The release speed has been set to the standard Mach 1 limit for this class of weapon, as there is currently no evidence indicating that the pylons used support supersonic employment of this armament.

The information used to report their operation above supersonic was falsely altered to provide a fake value. As such, there is currently no information to suggest release is possible at these speeds.

Right. Afaik you can use brimstones at supersonic speeds which means you can attack spaas at those speeds without becoming sitting duck.

I know. But shouldnt be default assumptions corrected if its required for gameplay purposes, since its not a 100% technical fact?

Hi Smin, could you reopen this report/ the comments so i can add extra info to it?

Hello,

A while ago a bug report has been fowarded about the missing JHCMS Radar slaving & Sniper ATP for the Belgian F-16AM in the French TT, the issue has been fowarded to the devs as some Techincal moderators said, any news from that in the Dev Server?

so you dont know

the brimstone is not fire and forget
at best you can guide in one at the time
and even then they are slow, just because you can launch them at supersonic speeds dosent mean that they are fast

Lol XD

– “not enough info”
– (closes comments so you cant provide more info)

Could we maybe see more Australia vehicle In this update or later update
Like the Australia leopard AS1
Helicopter like AH 64 E Apache. UH-60M Black Hawk and the Eurocopter EC665 Tiger

No, I DO actually know. You can guide more then one. It still provides you with a proper supersonic cas. They are faster then a bomb, especially on a platform such as EF’s. Even if you practically cant guide more then one-two at the time, its still more supersonic a2g weapons then rafale will have in a next update.

The only primary source I can find that talks about the AASM’s release speed shows it has “subsonic” release speed. No mentions of supersonic release speeds.

The good thing is, this does show the AASM is performing even worse than I thought and should probably either have more thrust or less drag.

Alright, thanks for the info!

Do you know by any chance if there is something that can be added to increase Rafales effectiveness against spaas? Maybe some foreign weapons been tested?

Spoiler

Several things can be done, but most of these are under the category of “missing technology” and not necessarily missing weapons.

While the US and Russia use anti-radiation missiles for anti-SPAA purposes, Rafale/Europe took the more unconventional methods of sensor fusion. The Rafale’s RWR is capable of locating targets and finding enemy SPAA GPS-coordinates and then sending either the AASM missiles or SCALP missiles to their location. This was even demonstrated in Libya where the Rafale destroyed Libyan SPAA during the civil war.

The Rafale in-game is also missing radar air to surface mode where it can find and track enemy ground and ship targets, same goes for the IRST air to surface mode. The Rafale is also missing the ESM mode where enemy SPAA should be displayed for the Rafale to locate.

In-game the Rafale is also not able to simultaneously operate the radar and IRST or any other mode simultaneously when it should be able to, and fuse all the information together. So for example, the radar, IRST, and Spectra ESM should all be able to work together at the same time to locate and designate threats for you, while collecting all data from around the battlefield. None of these technologies is implemented in the game and I made a thread about it which you can find here:

Gen 4.5+ capabilities should be modeled before the addition of 5th gen

One last thing I would say is that the Rafale is missing is the SCALP missile now that the JSOW missile is in-game. SCALP would allow for a missile that would be stealthy and also terrain follow its way to the target before destructing them.

Everything has been reported, it’s just up to the developers to actually implement these methods.

Question, will there be more feedback to dev-server threads before the release of the major update?

If we receive answers to share on any topics not yet addressed, then naturally
