The close-range rudder effect and angle of attack of the AIM-120A&B air-to-air missiles should be strengthened

you are aware that the 120 will also not hit the guy if he dose that right

It will have a MUCH better chance at doing so than a Mica, again, we can test it out…

heres the same thing with a few more missiles added

and 120 hits last

yeah it will go up from the micas what like 2% chance to a whopping 6% at most

Again, try turning even into just a 90 degree notch and we’ll see how well the Mica will perform. Realistically, the AMRAAM outperforms it at range

lmao

if they do that amraam would never hit

It’s still a better chance, yet you’re saying that it isn’t an advantage? How delusional are all of you? XD

Sure sure, we can go into a custom and I’ll show you, but none of you are willing to…

gonna accept my inv or what

If i were to stay at 15000 meters going Mach 3 launching R-77-1s at you whilst your doing the same with any other missile than an R-77-1, do you actually think you’ll be at an advantage?

Notice the weaknesses of your point? First you mentioned a ridiculously uncommon height for BVR engagments to overpraise the missile, and second, at that height most of missiles can reach their targets at competitive speeds with enough guidance time.

Are you going to put another disingenuous example? Or are you going to accept the basic reality that the AIM-120 fills a niche that holds no practical nor really competitive use in the average ARB/ASB game that other missiles can also perform decently at the very least?

That single quote tells me all I need to know that you don’t even fight BVR properly… if you’re flying beneath that then you’re literally handicapping your missile’s range.

Yeah, let’s just ignore all the metrics about how much both the R-77 and Mica loses their speed even turning just a little, because apparently all missiles perform the same to you…

Yes, the one air mode which has less Situational Awareness than any other, which should make AIM-120s stronger and yet doesn’t… Curious…

Please tell me how many times you’ve actually done BVR in air sim, not just hug the ground 24/7 which I found it to be pretty much the meta of sim battles.

Air RB is the most popular mode besides Ground RB, why does sim even matter? XD

so what did we learn from out little test?

-not a single missile fired from beyond 20km hit

what conclusions might we be able to draw from these results?

You died twice in the beginning because you were losing your positioning completely… you act as if nothing came from those missiles.

i was not counter firing in the first 3 rounds until within 10km
the missiles that killed me in both cases were fired from within 20km

Once I unlock chaff on a jet?
Pretty much every time. With the exception of the Su-27s and MiG-29s where sitting in the mountains on Afghanistan and ambushing people as they come over them just works better.

And I’m sure you played basically exclusively Flatmark or Shitnai

So, I’m not supposed to fire my weapons below 20km then? You even tried to fight back in those first two engagements but you couldn’t, because guess what? You lost your positioning to those missiles fired from 25 miles away…

And another thing? The only way you killed me, was because I had to notch way earlier once you started firing from 25 miles away, funny how that works?

you didnt fire from 25 a single time??? why are you just straight up lying
