The Canadian CF-118A has a loadout with laser guided bombs and AGM-65G but no laser targeting pod, in some testing I have found out that you can still paint a target with a laser even though there is no targeting pod present on the plane. the targeting pod should be where the red outline is if it had one. this might be a bug but im not sure.

the 65G is IR guidance not laser
i know but its the bombs that have the issue as you can see if has the laser guided bombs but no targeting pod so there is not way to guide the bombs, but for some reason it still can

wtf i just found that default loadout on my one too. I mean they can work off of CCIP but it is awkward

Yeah this loadout makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe you can try to lase with the Mav’s seeker? Even though they have no laser designator either…
thats what it does, when you fire the mavs it cant paint a target anymore
I could not fully recreate that loadout. I’m not really surprised though, it is very buggy.

How’s that supposed to work? A laser guided weapon has no laser on it’s own.
