The battle rating of the F5 E is unfair

Vehicle F-5E
Mode: Air Simulator Battles
Requested BR: 11.3 → 10.7–10.3 (in sim)

I strongly believe the American F-5E is overtiered in Air Simulator Battles.

Its excellent close-range maneuverability does not compensate for its overall limitations against the aircraft it currently faces. These include its limited air-to-air missile loadout and missile capability, limited countermeasures, radar limitations and lack of IFF, as well as its fuel and payload limitations. In Simulator Battles, situational awareness and the ability to identify and engage targets are much more important than in Realistic Battles. The lack of IFF and the limitations of its radar can force the pilot to approach unknown contacts, wasting time and energy while increasing exposure to enemy aircraft.I believe the F-5E should be evaluated according to its overall effectiveness in Simulator Battles, rather than having its rating determined primarily by its close-range flight performance. A BR around 10.7–10.3 would be worth considering, with the final rating determined by its actual performance against the aircraft it would face at that range.

I would appreciate feedback from other Simulator pilots who have experience flying the American F-5E against aircraft in its current BR bracket.

It is better than MiG-21Bis and making it as undertiered as F-4E is absurd, the only two planes I had trouble with is pre nerf M2K and the J-7E.

yeah dude cause making this thing so low that it just becomes an unbeatable jet with absurd advantages is fair

Tell me how you plan to beat this in a mig-21mf

10.3? Just send it to 1.0 already

At least you can easily run away from it, despite the MiG-21MF being at a lower BR. It’s not like the MiG-21MF is suffering with its decent FM and 4x R-60
