With all the unbalanced features and functions in the game, ghost shells, bad optimization and coding, server lag and the very difficult spatial awareness problem this causes ( you think you are behind cover but most of your tank is not ). Plus the skilled pixel perfect players (there must be some additional coding help there), chasing the last teleporting crew member around a tank before he materializes in the gunners seat and one shots you.
To simply say yeah I am done here and move on seems the most sensible thing to do, the forums are full of and it seems a lot of players are annoyed and frustrated at the game with so much effort for such little reward and entertainment.
Best not to get too emotionally, financially and time involved in such an endeavor, it appears to have no positives and only negatives.
what ping are you playing on. This has never been an issue for me. Now, some buildings and props being destructible and some not - often without logic - sure! But not the weird teleporting experience you describe.
(Seriously, why is container A destructible and container B not). (Or dinky wooden shed A explodes from touching it with your drive wheels, wooden shed B eats a tungsten round from a 20 pounder cannon).
Yeah that one. You think you are in a depression in the ground hull down with bushes and you watch the replay and see you were actually on top of a mountain and look like the last Christmas tree in the shop : )
Easy example of when to play kill denial:
Fields of Normandy map, 3 cap points, you’re on the east, in a fast vehicle, rushing towards the north capture (A), then you’re sniped from across the map roughly on the last half of the travel to A. Reccomended course of action: GTFO from that battle. For real, there is no point, your team is gonna get flanked from two to three different spots within a minute. Either play the same vehicle alone in another battle if you’re into grinding it, or play another nation (with the bonuses for lower tier vehicles, it makes more sense to grind several trees, or at least one faster+one slower when kill denial is go on the faster tree).
Just don’t feed easy kills to the opposing team.
I am doing something like this for months after the new map designs but not as a “kill denial” but i just don’t see the point to even join the battle a lot of times.
an overrun spawn can be a good source of kills and it’s not like you die for real is it? A pummeling by CAS as well is something different. Then its time to leave early.
comunication…but the crowd isnt listening anyways so yea i do leave a game early when i see its going nowhere.
There has been games where i was in the chat begging not to spawn right away, insteat wait until 4 or 5 of us can respawn and that worked a couple of times but the thousands of times i was typing my finger tips bloody with no result… i just let it be and leave…
Another tip for kill denial… never, ever, NEVER UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE activate a 10% bonus. In matchmaker cheats lingo, a 10% bonus means “10% more reward but 100% higher chance of wasting your time against teams of murderous psychos way above your skills”.
you mean 1 death leave? I do that all the time
…so, you got a 300% XP bonus? Let’s tweak the matchmaker to spawn jet fighters at 5.7 on the enemy team so you’re one shot on the way to bomb target… now, 300% plus of 0 XP is…?
Bless you Gaygin non-cheaters and bless your totally not rigged and absolutely not cheating matchmaker.
It is so impossible to know what airplanes have the players queueing for ARB, or what do they spawn in ground relistic battle, or in any other way make sure that valuable bonuses are wasted agaisnt heavily slanted nerfs so someone feels tempted to buy them back…
This thread should be renamed from “The art of kill denial” to “The copium corner”. You guys are so bad that you have to make sure no one else enjoy the game it’s actually impressive
This thread it’s about how to keep giving money and “content” to Gaygin even if you’re a mediocre player.
And also let Gaygin know that wasting the time of busy middle aged players is gonna lose them business, straight from the horse’s mouth.
I have to say something here that 've been noticing in the last updates.
As Much as Gaijin includes “extra” details and mechanics in the game, slower the loading gets.
For me is not an issue, IM there within 16 seconds for the match to start, but my greeny leprechaum only appears when its 10 seconds into the match.
As much as I dislike some maps, those seconds before hand do define a match. A team with better computers will spawn and run first to watterver position. This is even more visible in AirRB.
IMHO, I think the issue with Gaijin developers is prioritazation. Ray Tracing is nice and everything, but the game is 12 years on and we still dont have a frame limiter. I play War Thunder with 600 FPS with my laptop burning, when I could lock on 120 and play the same game with way less energy waste.
This is just one example, but I hope you guys get what I mean
