It was a response to the claim that Russian upgrades are taken at face value, which couldn’t be fruther from truth.
First of all, i also use same English language in-game, and second - you literally missed the MiG-29 i was referring to - MiG-29KR 9.41
This is false, at the time when this bug was present, Eurofighter could also slave AIM-120C trough IRST, i myself tested that.
A few F-16s too.

From my experience, it’s true that gaijin tends to often only add mechanics when they benefit Russian vehicles (and if other vehicles benefit from it as well, then good), if not some major nation. Now wether they take any kind of source and take it at face value, I’d say it’s historically been more of a ground USSR vehicle thing than air, I agree with you on that.

They don’t fit BOL, they have TERMA Pylons fit. IIRC there are no F-16 operating BOL.
Oh I didn’t know BOL was a specific kind of CM until now.

That’s not actually possible. There are no aircraft capable of launching an active radar-guided missile (Fox 3) using only an IR lock. IRST can maintain the datalink, but it doesn’t provide target coordinates, so it serves no practical purpose
Yeah all BOL dispensers function the same, its a unique CM type.

So the Small caliber CMs on the F-16s function the same as the one with BOL?
So if the BOL pods got changed would the F-16’s CM pods stay the same?
There are three CM types;
BOL
Standard
Large
F-16 TERMA pods all fire standard CM’s.

that’s true su-30sm and eurofighters were the only ones that could do this bug back in 2025, but i believe he was talking about a similar bug that is currently in game and this time exclusively for the su-30sm/sm2 and su-30mkm
it’s possible but not 100% consistent for some reason and it does give some advantages
