This update introduces a universal bug affecting all air-to-ground missiles: target lock (achieved through the targeting pod/seeker view/external view) is instantly lost upon switching back to external view or when maneuvering the aircraft. I’m not sure if this is intended as a new game mechanic or if it’s actually a bug.
Additionally, the AASM 250 (SBU 64) on the Rafale C F3 cannot achieving external view locks. After acquiring a target, the tracking marker will follow your mouse cursor but not maintain on the target.Besides, when using AGM-65 on aircraft like the F-16, the tracking marker drifts and fails to maintain target lock after minor aircraft attitude adjustments following target acquisition.
I noticed this already before the update, but i don’t know if it’s a bug, i hope so.
I noticed this point as well.
Hi - sorry to revive an old thread but did anyone ever manage to resolve this? Happening now constantly with A6-E TRAM.
In case anyone ever comes back to this - I believe I have resolved it. The default keybind for target stabilization is Alt + LMB. I would venture a guess that all the above players, like me, use Hold RMB to zoom. This zoom method while locking up a target results in all of Alt, LMB and RMB being pressed simultaneously, which removes the lock as soon as you let go of any of those three keys. If you pay close attention, the lock is actually lost prior to changing camera view - the changing camera view seems to be the culprit, but thats actually not the case. The solution was to change the Target Point/Stabilization bind to a single key press.
