Yak-28B is unplayable right now, without flares totally useless just food for jets with missiles, in my opinion some planes or tanks SHOULDNT be added to war thunder because they are very hard to balance or arent able to be balanced. It was okay on 9.3 with flares, now on 9.0 its useless, shouldnt have been added therefore.

there isn’t a single 9.0 aircraft with flares, and only the a32as get chaff why would it be the only exception?
It’s also ~700kph faster than anything else at 9.0 except the Su-7s.

For an IR missile around 9.0 to launch on you, it needs to be in the rear aspect.
If you don’t let targets on your rear in the first place, they can’t even launch on you.
Sure, it’ll slow you down getting to a base sometimes, but you’ll be alive.
It’s been without flares for a bit now, but it’s not like you need them, you can easily evade any AAMs launched at you including the AIM-4s from the F-106A.
In this BR range right now there is only one missile able to kill this thing at top speed and high altitude: AIM-9D
So the Ayit went up to 9.7, Shahak and Nesher are at 10.0. Yak28 went down to 9.0.
What more do you want?
In full downtiers the Yak28 is untouchable. You only need 1 functional brain cell.

They aren’t 9.0, but the A-4E Early and German Alpha Jet get flares at 8.7.
if you need flares at 9.0 you are not a good player, theres things at 9.7 that can dominate easily with no countermeasures at all

It outruns me massively, to the point I physically cant get into gun range.
Oh and don’t get me started on the Su-7s at 9.0 now too…
you don’t need flares when you outrun everything, hell even facing them in my G.91R/4 (AIM-9Bs and AA-20)was hopeless, because if I got into missile range it was fast enough to outrun the 9B.
