Team Kills

,

Hey.

I just got hit with a one hour suspension for “team kills”. I remember 2 incidents (in different matches) but I was playing realistic and flying. Once, I saw someone like swoop in front of me (I was a heavier aircraft, therefore, more so in the back of the pack) and kill a bunch of people. Therefore, I went for the teamkiller and I shot him down. The other was accidental, I was recording like a shorts for youtube and accidentally shot someone down. I am a fairly new player, 2.7BR for aviation, 3.3 for naval, and yeah. It is my first time getting hit with a suspension. I don’t know how to find my way around the confusion ahhhh menu of war thunder to report it was a mistake. Is there anything wrong with just leaving it as is? Will it be like on my record or something?

Thanks for your help.

3. DAMAGE TO TEAMMATES, “FRIENDLY FIRE”

3.1. These War Thunder specific rules expressly prohibit causing damage to teammates or so-called “friendly fire” in a Game, including, without limitation, the following actions: inflicting damage to teammates’ vehicles or any of their parts, destroying teammates’ vehicles or any of its parts, disorienting teammates. Please note that damaging teammates is forbidden even if the damaging functionality is technically allowed in a Game.

3.2. The sanctions for violating the above-mentioned rule are automatically imposed by the in-game system that analyzes the Player’s in-game behavior. In exceptional cases, the Administration may manually evaluate the alleged violation and set the corresponding sanction.

3.3. The rule in paragraph 3.1 above also applies to certain Game events (official streams, championships, etc.) officially announced and sanctioned by the Administration. In some cases, during such Game events, the in-game punishment system mentioned above may be disabled, and the participants will not be punished for minor or insignificant violations. However, the Administration may always impose the Game Access Restriction for a period from 3 to 7 days on a Player who causes damage or destroys a teammate during such Game events.

Any (accidental or intentional) teamkilling is against the rules of the game. Ban isnt appealable. They will most likely lock the post

Just remove friendly fire at this point. Penalizing accidental teamkilling is pretty dumb.

how do you know they arent lying

It doesn’t matter if they’re lying. The ability to get banned from a series of accidents is unfair and stupid. It shouldn’t exist in the first place. If team killing is such a problem that it needs to be a bannable offence just remove it.

how do you know they were accidents? you know admins review these teamkills and people could just vent as if they were accidents because they cant accept responsibility for their actions

Again, it doesn’t matter the context. What matters is the possibility of it existing.

then no administration action should exist. guess why? people could be banned for not cheating, people could be banned for not swearing people could be banned for not doing anything ever
but that doesnt really happen youre just talking trash trying to dismiss a whole administrative system because youre a nihilist

The better question is what should we do with teammates who run into a friendly arty strike or bomb and get killed… in this case you also got punishment but the teamkill come from your less smart mate…

In other hand from my point of view also a teamkill when your mate:

use your tank as a live shield,
OR
push you into enemy fire ,
OR
block you when you try to fallback,
OR
push you when you take a shot which missed and get a chance to enemy to kill you.
