sure, a private message would be nice.
I’m unsure if the notification system actually sends the notification for the teamkill bans as those are handed out for systemic/repeated violations and not for a specific singular report.
Could you link some of them please (preferably ones that are already accepted)?
I’ll see if i can ask if there are any updates or answers in the matter (but i wouldn’t get my hopes up).
i dont need anything specific, im just referring to this pop up message that i saw on some other player’s clips where another player reported another player and they got a notif while in their hangar that action was done on their report.
That popup was what i was referring to, it is an automated system that sends out a notification when that players report specifically is handled. So if your report in particular isn’t actioned as a singular one but instead as a part of a collective of reports i’m not sure if that notification gets sent. I’m also not certain on how that system works as i have zero access to it but I’ll ask if it’s possible to clarify.
Imho the best you can find is this one:
Community Bug Reporting System
Look at the comments…
The problem is existing for years and imho based on a faulty collision mechanic.
That is the reason for other problems too - if two players perform a FCH (FullCommitHead-on) and don’t kill each other the guy which has produced the lower damage gets a kill when they collide and explode.
Looks like a very complex issue that is very inconsistent in when it occurs and as such VERY hard to investigate and find the root cause of. That specific report was marked as “the problem is not reproducible” two years ago, there has been A LOT of updates since and the issue might be harder or easier to find now compared to then. Are there any more recent ones (again preferably already accepted)?
I stopped providing or preparing bug reports a while ago.
Even as the search function on the bug report site seems to work now - you find even in this thread various examples of team kills by ramming.
The problem is that the more “advanced” teamkillers are able to ramm their victims and glide back to base - they simply destroy rudder and elevators of their victims. So the victim crashes (=Game over in Air RB & repair cost) and the team killing fee is not charged if the rammer is able to repair.
So whilst i am really happy that you are interested in this specific sub-topic i would like to point out that gaijin is fully aware of this issue, like every experienced Air RB player.
Therefore it is not a matter of updates or developments in the recent years - the closed thread above just proves that the problem is still there.
So why should i dig out dozens of reports if gaijin knows this topic for ages and either not able or willing to take care?
Have a good one!
Does Teamkill applies to Custom battle?
i had a similar situation, where i was driving the rooikat, and 2 tanks pushed me around in spawn for like 2 minutes straight.
i just reported them with “abuse” and the next morning i woke up to the “reported player was punished” screen
I just realised i replied to a 2023 comment, we are so lost with that one
Be nice if Gaijin could enforce TKing a bit harder, take it a bit more serious as its causing issues in many Brs now adays.
Teamkilling doesnt exist
teamkilling doesnt exist, 'cause 90% of players dont care about teammates. period
Regardless of what other players think or care about it is still a team based game in which you can be banned for team killing. so whats your point
oh well, this ISNT a team based game, and u can see that daily. why u negate that? and i ask: why there is the possibility of damager teammates just in air battles? make active ground damage again and ban for 2 hours every “teamkiller”
damage to “friend” vehicles in GRB like it happens in ARB, for example. the “teamkiller” pays the damage and take a ban for half hour/hour/2 hours etc. u bet nobody “teamkill” anymore. p.s. if u want to be smarter, u apply “teamkilling” just to voluntary shooting to teammate. 'cause if u run where i called artillery, im not a teamkiller, YOU are a bad player
30%* Barely see any traitor other in ARB
then u are a very very very lucky guy
if WT would be a team based game:
- all players had the same maximum of vehicles usable in a game
- all grind would be gained by BADGES and CAPPING and HOLDING CAPS, and not by kills and assist
-kills and assists would be BONUS. assist dont exist irl war. if u crit hit a tank with other 3 players u have 0.25 kill. no more, no less - nuclear option at right tier would be gained just if your TEAM is holding the majority of caps. and its result in sb would be distirbuted with teammates (why “player” can grind to have a nuke, without helping team and without have a real upper hand on enemies? too easy camp and do own businesses while other teammates are sweating blood to play decently)
is (are) it a too complicate point(s) to understand? if u dont support team play, then u cant punish voluntary teamkilling (really not voluntary teamkilling would be punished at all)
and u see that just ‘cause in grb u cant damage teammats’ vehicles…
: why there is the possibility of damager teammates just in air battles?
Because while tanks are mobile vehicles, tank engagement is more about prepositioning and ambushes rather than active movement.
Contrast this with aircraft where active movement is a pivotal arena of skill due to the 3D environment, pursuit curves and active evasion.
This means being able to adequately compensate for the position of teammates should be a skill that is tested every match.
In RB, due to markers, the skill of identification is not tested and such while relevant for tanks, it’s not part of GRB.
In contrast, the absence of markers makes identification a skill to be tested and consequently GSB DOES have friendly fire.
It’s pretty simple.
Is the ability to avoid friendly fire a skill worth testing? Then the mode has friendly fire.
You can also abuse lapses in said skill in ARB/ASB by positioning yourself in such a way that forces your opponents to risk friendly fire or let you reset the engagement.
In GSB, you can likewise abuse lapses through camoflague and soft/hard cover that breaks up your silhouette to give yourself first-shot advantage (provided your team communicates, letting you obtain information assymetry advantage).
