Target selection

In the case of air rb props - having 13 out of 14 players all immediately competing for the first bomber they see whilst the enemy team closes in behind them has become the meta and has honestly killed air rb.
It is not the fault of Gaijin either.

Having 13 out of 14 people desperate for a kill (understandable) all competing for the same kill just makes no sense and ultimately ends up with 1 person getting the kill and the rest dying to what they ignored (the rest of the enemy team).

Now this is common knowledge but why does it happen match after match after match?
You would think people would pick up on this and adjust.

If I were so incredibly desperate for a kill - I would not compete with 13 others for the same kill whilst there are 14 more enemies out there - this is just common sense.

This mentality has genuinely destroyed and taken away any enjoyment from air rb props, there is literally no point unless you either want to be the 14th person chasing that B17 or be the one who gets annihilated by the 13 other enemies (before they slaughter the rest of your team who have their backs to the enemy).

I feel like I am playing a totally different game these days in any given battle.

Does no-one get fed up of being one of the 14 chasing a bomber and not getting it and just doing the same thing again next time?
I mean even if you arethe one who gets the bomber - the enemy team is right behind you and will slaughter you all anyway and you will lose the battle.

It is the most unproductive method I have ever seen in any videogame i have ever played.
Even if I did not care about the match outcome or my team and my only concern was me getting a kill - this is still the most unproductive method you could use, makes no sense.

I genuinely do not enjoy flying in this game anymore.

Who can’t forget when YOU are the chicken.

4-5 people piling on you at once, screwing YOU in particular and then losing.
Specially if you are in a not-so noob friendly aircraft or straight up in a non-meta aircraft.

And it does not discriminate i’ve seen plenty of experienced ARB players joining the mob, but mostly a minority, most of them are tankers rushing so they can use the precious CAS to abuse.
And all of those dudes determines BRs by sheer population.

I am referring to Air RB. Specifically props but I guess yes, the principle is the same.

Also don’t forget the one who hunts you down to the ends of the earth

they all do, vast majority of the team on 1 bomber, desperately competing for the kill meanwhile 14 enemy players are moving in on their 6. - Then 1 guy finally gets the bomber, the rest of team say “damnit” - turn around and get slaughtered, game over.

Like I say, hardly worth playing if that is the case in 95% of matches.

Heck, I have been a bomber in many instances and been the one fighting the entire horde of enemy fighters whilst the fighters on my team all chase an enemy bomber, it is ridiculous, I just feel though that this is the general mentality of gamers in general these days.

Mostly not Gaijins fault, adding the “skill” bonus didn’t help, that certainly made the situation worse (and it was already bad). That said, actually positioning and selecting targets is mort profitable in the long run, but most players don’t think that far ahead. they are like cats, they see something moving and have to pounce on it.

The classic “team all attacks the guy you are killing instead of the guys killing you”

Dunno how you can fix the issue though, it’s like the USA players that refuse to climb and try to turn fight Zeros and Spits on the deck, they just keep doing it and if you try to suggest they climb you just get insults hurled at you the rest of the match.

I agree, very detrimental on multiple levels.
I just feel that I - like many other veteran players, have just hit the limit.

This happens to both teams. It’s an absolute dice toss as to how the battle unfolds.
Even if one team has utter advantage in every way possible, they can still fold and die, so it doesn’t even matter if your team does the right thing or not. Vast majority of players don’t know the way to use their advantage at all.
Just grab a squadmate to have a reliable teammate that doesn’t immediately kys.

You can write 100s of topics like that, it won’t change anything. The ignorance is too strong. Sometimes it seems like they want to loose the battle on purpose.
