T84 120 yatagan For japan?

Not because of Gaijin but their community. If we’d have a Ukraine tech tree, an standalone tech tree by the next few months or so the amount of people complaining would be very annoying in my perspective.

not only, at least there was Obj. 640 and two “Burlak” prototypes

Tho im a big fan of Yatagan myself so i wish to see it one day.

And it would certainly be great to have all those 3 replace those T-90 and T-72 in USSR top tier lineup.

Strange name for Thai Oplot(2009), officially there are T-84 Oplot (1999) and BM Oplot (2009), no one uses T-84BM variant officially. “BM” is abbreviation for Battle Machine and used like “next-generation” of Oplot

I found funny thing

Looking on Swedish Mi-28 and T-80U there could be a chance

Thailand is the only link to the Oplot, and Thailand has zero link to the Yatagan. If the Yatagan comes, it should come with Ukraine or Turkey (or both).

Pretty sure it was just an offer, no trials. Mi-28 and T 80 U were both trialed.

@Rei_Garreter pretty sure that was the Object 478DU8, which is closer to the T-84 zr 1999 as it was one of the prototypes.

Also Oplot(1999) was tested in Malaysia, so it can be some early model for Japan TT

Yeah, it is

The only serviced link then. Object 478DU8 was tested, I don’t think any production T-84s (1999) were but I could be wrong on that.

Ideally if that comes it’d be just the DU8 as it is slightly different than the T-84 ('99) but I wouldn’t expect it.

Maybe Yatagan can be in same situation as F-16AJ (not counting that in game it’s not F-16AJ but F-16A(Japan))

couple of models were created, later modified to Oplot that closer to Oplot(2009)

Anyway ingame Oplot weaker than it’s real variant

…not a good comparision.

F-16AJ is a butched-gaijin’d YF-16A that Japan was offered. And they haven’t made any attempt since it was made to make it more realistic (converting to YF-16A, or adding belly sparrows) so I don’t think they want to bring another vehicle like the F-16AJ. And the AJ was only added because Japan “needed” a vehicle to fill the gap that the F-2A would fill. Yatagan fills no gap.

Yeah, they would likely to add nothing (like this patch, only copies) to Japan TT than something like that

Japanese players are fantasizing about something that doesn’t exist again. They are part of Ukraine, but because they are exported to foreign countries, they can be incorporated into other countries’ technology trees. All of this is selective, rather than merging the Ukrainian system into the Japanese system. The Japanese won’t get all the sub-series in reality, as I said before, it’s all gaijin’s choice

It’s because of Japanese sub-trees (Thailand, Malaysia) who could have something like that, but pure Ukraine vehicles don’t need to be added to other TT (atleast others than East Europe TT). About Russia (USSR/“Post-soviet”) TT, BVVD said that it have own unique (Black Eagle for example) vehicles that could be added others than Oplots (counting that there less Oplots in post-soviet countries than out of them)

I don’t think a vehicle only offered can be added unless it was at least tested.

I’d rather see the T-84 (Object 478DU8), which is a unique variant of the Oplot actually made for Malaysia and of course the PT-91M.

Yeah, also that T-84 is earlier “variant” of Oplot-T so could be added infront of it, or in Malaysia sub-tree (if it would be there)
